  • Crashes

When playing with Yarpen, every game it's crashed when about to finish the second quest.

No save feature is a problem.

Game also doesn't follow the board game rules exactly when it comes to timing issues.

Good port if you don't want to break out the physical game.

Some fixes and easily 5 stars.

  • Some folks need more patience

Giving credit where due, this is a five-star experience. Yes there is a tutorial. I barely needed it to figure things out over a couple games. Fantasy Flight has created a wonderful experience and I look forward to more of their digital board games.
  • Multiplayer

I wish there were more people playing on the multiplayer since playing AI is boring due to the fact they are badly programmed to use their developments in fights and only cause boredom watching them waste turns fighting monsters they can't beat
  • Lacking basics

No save feature and no tutorial. Add both and this would be a four star game.
  • Put aside a few hours to learn the rules!

A bit bewildering to begin with but recommend playing a few hours with comp ai to know the game before competing online. This game is deep! And can give fans of the title a good insight into the world of the witcher for the upcoming 3rd instalment. Terrific strategy system, excellent background music and the always available rule book and video tutorials make this complex game easy to understand but hard to master.

  • Marginal at best

    Ok graphics and music
Video, noninteractive, tutorial adds size to file without supporting game
Game play is rudimentary and doesn't make you feel involved.

All in all, give it a miss. Not worth the price.
  • Awesome games once you know how to play

Having never played the board game before I had no idea how to play this. The "tutorial" comprises of about 12 short videos which explain the game mechanics, however there is no playable tutorial. I learnt the game by reading through the rules and watching the videos.

Once I started playing the game I started getting the hang of what I was supposed to do about 10 turns in. This is a very strategic game and a lot of fun. It definitely needs a playable tutorial and a save mode as well as the games can take well over 2 hours! Highly recommend this and if you are struggling with how to play, watch the Fantasy Flight YouTube videos for the board game so you can see the game in action!

  • Good..but...

Nice game design...totally confusing rules and no in game tutorial..that said..it does unfold slowly as to what you are meant to do..crashed whilst playing in multiplayer mode halfway through a game so I would recommend a game save feature without further ado..could be a great implementation but for 'flakey' multiplayer..whatever happened to quality control????

  • Save progress?

A great and addicting game held back by the lack of resuming a previous game. An average play session takes about 40 minutes. I don't always have 40 straight minutes to play. Please add a way to resume a previous game!
  • One star for pretty graphics

That's about the only enjoyable part of the convoluted confusion I could stand.

This game feels like it was designed by someone who played Lords Of Waterdeep and thought it would be more fun with loads more terms and tokens that explain nothing of the gameplay.
