Nostalgic, but way too buggy.
This was fun for a few minutes. It's far too buggy to enjoy. It follows the same rules and gameplay as the game from FF8. But the game suffers from bugs where cards get jumbled on the board making it difficult to win. Overall it needs a lot of work. I'm not sure why or how this got such great reviews.Show lessPope123
Must Have for FF In-Game Card Games
Absolute must have for ff8 fans. This was one of the best features of ps1 FF games. I hope they add a new card game in ff15. Just like witcher did with Gwent.
The only problem is it's very glitchy. Cards disappearing and sometimes you can't play a card or build a deck. I'm sure they'll fix this soon.Show lessCorey W
Game that brings back memories...with some bugs
It's the game we remember, but with some bugs making sometimes the game a pain in the *%#. Dragging cards ends but following your finger undefinitely but the game and cards are all there so I hope it improves in the future because i do want to play this game :)War187

So I love this game with a passion. I wish every FF game had it instead of just the greatest FF of all time. However, the games layout and design are lacking. I'm sure it will get much better over the next month or two but as of right now, they need to step it up a bit.sirpetoria

A lot of fun, just like the ff8 triple triad game. I love this app, just wish there was a multiplayer version. Although I suppose if there was, it would end up being pay to play and people spending the most money would have the best decks.R2B355M
Great! Buuutttt....
Quite buggy, often when placing cards they will stick random places and others will simply disappear off the board.
Also please add the original elemental functionality to where you gain a plus or minus point when placed on an elemental spot.
Other than that it's a super fun game and I love that it uses the original in-game music.
I have long awaited a way to play this game without needing a ps1.

This game is just as awesome as the one on FFVIII. Game play is exactly the same even accompanied by the same music.

Thank you for bringing this game to iOS. Five stars! Having said that, the bugs need to be squashed. Down to three stars. Changing cards one at a time doesn't work; I have to enter and exit the card menu a couple times to clear the roster - this is annoying. As another poster said, there is a glitch during gameplay where the cards turn different colours and some already on the board disappear from view.
Some suggested upgrades:
1) cards: have the ability to jump to high level cards quickly, not scrolling through all levels of cards.
2) playing: at the end of every game, why go back to the start screen? I shouldn't have to scroll through seven defeated players to get to my next game.
3) rules: these should be in-game, not a link to a webpage.
Once again, thanks for bringing this game to iOS. I've been wanting to play it again for a while. It's awesome I can play while out and about.Show lessLnks
