Not what I expected, but way better than I expected! The music! The story! The graphics! Just maybe a little short, yet I could not stop playing, wanted to find out who is the killer. Best few hours I have spent this weekend;)daczo
Overall Great Game
There are some things I wish they would've added one of them being more puzzles I think there were only two "puzzles" in the game and they extremely easy. But the game was great without them and I wouldn't of felt like there was something lacking if they hadn't put any puzzles in at all. I loved the art of the characters and the overall simplicity of the game. It wasn't very hard to go through the challenges and to find out the killer in the game but the gameplay was so fun that the simplicity was sort of enjoyed its not the game that your gonna be scratching your head over. I really liked the game and I would definitely recommend it.Show lesskittylover456
Charming
An utterly charming and slightly bonkers puzzle game. It kept me hooked throughout, has great voice acting and I finished it within a few hours. The music is wonderful, and the brightly animated characters work well over the eerie swamp background. Recommended!Bewilderbeest
Fantastic stuff
Great story, art style and voice acting, as well as an unusual interface that requires a bit more thought than the usual point-and-click. Really pleased I bought this. Highly recommended.Little loaf
Fantastic but could be more challenging
I played the first Det. Grimoire and, suffice to say, I've been anticipating this new case of his. The animation, soundtrack, voice-acting and gameplay is topnotch and smooth as silk. However, it only took me a few hours to complete and as not too challenging either. If you're a busier person than me, you'll probably spend a few days to complete the game. I was also hoping that the game price could be a little cheaper, but I suppose the price is understandble considering how much effort it would have taken to create a game with handdrawn backdrops. My congratulations to the creators of this game for producing such an entertaining way to procrastinate. :)Show lessCn7911

A lovely little adventure game :o) Reminds me of my childhood playing point'n'click games like Monkey Island!
The graphics and sound are really stylised and immersive. The puzzles were perhaps a little too easy. The story was compelling and entertaining :o)

Step down from the first
I played the first one maybe 3 years ago? It was an amazing game. This wasn't bad, but I think it focused too much on being kid-friendly. That bothers me because a murder case is not supposed to be kid friendly. One of the best things about the first was its creepy factor. The whole scene had an aura of sadness, but the characters were all witty. I did not like the ending to this, nor the artwork. The characters were fun and unique, but again, it's like I was playing a kid's game, much unlike the first. It's realism was also turned way down. Stars for game& developers
It's true the puzzles aren't super hard but the game is more story-driven. The story and the characters are entertaining, character dialogue and settings are fun& quirky. I was one of the people having a tech issue and e-mailed. I received a very quick and informative response- it's always nice to deal with pleasant people, plus they were already on top of releasing a fix.
