The best 12C emulator, and I worked for the company that made it.
I’ve had an HP 12C since they first came out. When I bought an iPhone and an iPad, I wanted an emulator that worked at least as well as the physical calculator. My former employer also had a 12C emulator on the App Store, but it was out classed by 12Calc.
First off, it looks great, unlike some other emulators. You can even choose different templates. However, what matters to me is how it works. All the 12C functions are there, but there are a bunch of great additions. There are various worksheets for more complicated efforts if you want to track them on the screen. Included are useful conversion tools, so you won’t need a separate conversion app. You can review the memory and even print it out or export to a file. Copy and paste is supported.
There are just too many features to write about here, but they are all covered by the terrific context-sensitive help. You press the help button, including the “F” and “G” shift functions, and you get an explanation of how the function works and some examples.
The developer also has some terrific TI based emulators, especially the TI83/84 and TI-BA emulators. However, if you need the best 12C emulator out there, get 12Calc. There’s even a bundle offered where you can get 12C and TI-BA emulators for one price. The best of both worlds!

12Calc app
Seems to no longer work.
This is the gold standard of Financial Calculators.
, Long before the personal computer, iPhones and the internet the HP 12C. calculator provided the answers to my financial calculations. Now my favorite calculator is as close as my phone, it’s always with you. This app has additional features not found on the original HP. The currency converter is very accurate and uses current exchange rates. Best of all, the app cost less than a set of replacement batteries for your legacy HP 12C.

A perfect 12C Emulator
This has been my go to 12C since I got my iPhone 6s (now on my iPhone 12). I use it daily. My real 12C has been collecting dust since (but I’ll never discard my decades old pal). This is THE BEST 12C app for iOS; very reasonably priced plus bonus functionality and great in-app help. Thank-you to the developer.

Fantastic calculator, problematic update
First of all, nothing beats 12Calc. There is no substitute unless you are using a real 12C, but then 12Calc has all the speed of your iPhone. The latest version, however, is problematic as the font is now white instead of black. Depending on your situation it can be very hard to see. I wish I did not upgrade so I could have kept the previous color scheme of black numbers on a lighter background.

Apple added dark mode last year. Go to the Settings app, select Display & Brightness and then select Light from the APPEARANCE panel. Ding Apple the 2 stars, not the developer!

I have been an HP-12 user since forever. This app emulates all the features in the original hardware unit while adding many additional functions including a host of conversions. I use almost daily and find it to be always stable, accurate and reliable, while surprising me every now and then with a new feature I discover. THIS is why we buy smartphones- everything you need, always at your side. Fabulous implementation of a wonderful product, only improved. Wonderful accomplishment!!!

Still the best HP12C App Ever After So Many Years! More so now with this latest update!
The updates on this app keep it at the top of my list of most used apps on my iPhone and other Apple devices. I have always owned at least three HP 12C handheld calculators since these came to the market decades ago. I still do today but now that I am on my iPhones and iPads most of every waking hour I find it so convenient to be able to click on Ernest Brock's 12Calc on my iPhones and iPads while working numbers on these devices. I have been a user of Ernest Brock's 12Calc from its first appearance and through its periodic updates with new features as Mr. Brock has again done with this superb 12Calc Version 2.3! I am now 76 years old and since these came out in the market I have used and recommended to family and friends both the HP12C handheld calculator and Ernest Brock's 12Calc app. I will continue to use and recommend these to anyone looking for timeless products that are classics in their industry. Good job, HP and Ernest Brock! Your excellent products enhance each other like supportive partners, which is how I view and use your products.
