I love they app
But it sometimes doesn’t register steps or takes hours to update your steps but I know I’ve done them so not really bothered fix this please thank you .epic umbreon

This app is amazing and keep track of steps, calories, stairs, distance and more! The best part and I share this with sooo many others. This app runs 24 hours and does not affect my iPhone battery at all a huge plus!!! I even put this app on my husband’s iPhone! Friendly competition between us now! L❤️VE!!! It depends on the device, carry location (as you mention), etc. A forced restart of the device can help sometimes if this is something that didn't used to be be an issue. Why was the app changed? There was nothing wrong with the previous version of the app for me. I wish I could go back to the previous version. Sometimes it is best to leave things alone.JC'S 57

Thanks for using Stepwise. Apps must evolve to remain relevant, and that means things change. Of course I acknowledge that not everyone's tastes are the same, so I am sorry to hear that you don't appreciate the more modern interface. All the data is still there and the new interface was designed to make the app clearer. Quick view graphs for history, making is simple to get an understanding of your progress over time easily, whilst still having all the data by tapping on a day, or swiping side to side. --- Update --- I have released a new update (3.1) which adds a Light Theme option. Please do give that a try. - Update - I do wonder if your comment is still valid? It seems you are still using the Stepwise after a long time and now giving 5 star reviews, for which I am very grateful.Brilliant

I have used this app for a little over a year. I simply love it! I love reading my stats in History, and this app is all I need to challenge myself every day. I set goals, and I make or exceed them.Valeriegirl
Ads are unbearable
Way too much emphasis on ads. While working out too often the ad is touched while trying to check progress. Extremely annoying while running. After years with this app I’m ready to delete it. Additional information: I DID pay the subscription fee and still had to deal with ads much of the year.No! 22

Thanks for leaving a review. Stepwise uses banner ads to support its development whilst allowing users to use the app for free. The placement of these ads within the app has not changed in years. There is an option to subscribe which will remove all ads and provide some other features, so is an option for you. I would appreciate it if you would reach out to me via the contact option on the Me screen in the app and let me know what you are seeing happen, as it sounds like you may have some issue with your install. Thanks. Update: When you subscribe to Stepwise you can turn off the Ads option below the subscription on the Me screen to disable Ads. If this is not happening for you, please tap the email support option further down the Me screen and so I can resolve your issue. Update: As mentioned previously, please reach out to me via the contact option in the app. Alternatively support@stepwiseapp.com and mention this review. I would like to help you, as if you have a subscription and turned ads off on the Me screen, you shouldn't be seeing ads! Furthermore, the ads (and the space for the ads (a banner at the bottom of the screen)) is always there on screen whether or not an ad is showing, and is in the same place that most apps place banner ads. Well it’s Raining now where I live so being an ole man I decided to take a break dry off ( so they say ) and rest my cane! I can’t believe I never wrote a Review for this Unique Outstanding App that I have been using for years! This app is so amazing when I found it I went “ WOW “ and being an ole man finding something to amaze me is not easy these Days!! But this Unique Outstanding Design App did and still does! I believe if you Download this app you automatically will go WOW! So give it a try for a ole man’s sake and Download it the price is right. Yeah it cost money, but Technology is not cheap and as a ole man I have truly found anything you want to keep cost money. The Developer’s have put a great Deal of time hard work sweat and yes love into the coding of this Software for you myself and our family to keep us Healthy! Look at the number of updates that they have made on this Unique Outstanding Design Software to make it better for you myself and our family! So Download it please! The mileage tracking part of the app doesn’t work accurately unless there’s another GPS running app running at the same time. My StepWise is off by as much as a third of a mile in 1-3/4 miles when operating by itself, so I have to activate the MyNetDiary app that also tracks mileage. When they’re running together, I get the same results. I’ve also tried turning on LOCATION SERVICES, but it doesn’t seem to help. *** MOTION CALIBRATION & DISTANCE has been on. *** Since this original post, the developers had me engage AUTO STRIDE and now it reports the mileage correctly. Thanks for using Stepwise. Please take a look at Settings > Privacy > Location Services > System Services and ensure that Motion Calibration & Distance is turned ON. This is the specific setting to allow iOS to accurately track distance *without* needing to have GPS (which drains battery faster). I appreciate you have turned on location services, but have you specifically enabled motion calibration and distance? Stepwise does *not* require another GPS app to be running to get accurate results. That you are seeing this improve your results highly suggests an issue with your device configuration in relation to iOS itself being able to use GPS data for for distance. I use this app and another one as well. This app counts the same steps but credits less distance than two others. The developer tells me that Stepwise is assisted in counting its distances with GPS, so it is most likely more accurate. Thanks Neil!Dr lama
