Functional app could be much better
The app has the basic tools from level to a simple flood light from your screen. I really wish Makita would make apps for tracking and cataloging our tools like their website. The app can also track how old the batteries are and when to look into new set or allowing us to keep the manuals on the tools I own on this app. Great for keeping track especially under theft situation.

Handy if you’re using metric
Come on where’s the imperial - metric setting?
Feels like a Makita tool
The good...
This app feels like a Makita tool. Big clear buttons and dead simple to use. Not gadgety.
Time and date clearly displayed on opening page. Tools nicely laid out with big buttons for fat fingers (hey, we’re trades people). Spirit level is easy to read, has horizontal, vertical and dome and displays bubbles and digits. Levelling tool is handy and better than just eyeballing. Uses camera and crosshairs and displays degrees. The battery meter would handy if you forgot your reading glasses in the truck, big display. Very cool flashlight uses the camera light like every other one but you can type a message and it will flash it in Morse code. Don’t know when I’d use this feature but it’s so cool!
The not so good...
The sound meter needs a way to be calibrated against a good SPL meter.
Distance meter is totally inaccurate.
Levelling tool degree display is very jittery. Would be better if the readout could be dampened, slow down.
Flashlight can’t be dimmed.
I think this app has the potential to become my “go to” but isn’t there yet.
Would like to see...
Magnifier and access to camera.

Impressed but prefer US measurement
I'm really impressed - nice app but I wanted it for measuring and do not want to take time to convert metric results to the US equivalent - wish there was a way to switch from metric to US standard.
Great
Better if I could change from meters to feet!!!!
Makita
Good app but would b better if u integrated the Bluetooth makita radios to work on here as well
Why Metric only?
This app is very useful, but in metric, which I know nothing about being in the US. Too bad. Hopefully Makita will offer another version.
Credit for honesty
Credit for being honest. Unlike all/most measuring apps it dies NOT ask you to pay to use it. That's good.
If you need what it does offer (example a decibel sound Meyer) then it's great. However I needed it to measure length / etc. it didn't work correctly at all.

Okay
Tool okay but need conversion to English measurement.
Maybe
Looks useful but I don't work in metric and don't want to take the time to do the conversions. Is there a way to switch to inches and feet? I can't find it if there is. Please let me know and if so I will put it into real world use and write a follow up review. Otherwise going to delete.
