  • Incredibly Helpful

    My 7 month puppy has a growth on the top of her head that really concerned me. Family & friends said “nothing to worry about, probably a bug bite.” I’m glad I asked a vet through this app because she encouraged me to go to the vet.

    We just returned home from the vet, my pup has a tumor & we’re awaiting the biopsy results. It’s most likely benign but I’d rather know for certain.

    It. Is. A. Tumor! (Arnold humor for us old fogies lol)

  • Excellent resource

    I really appreciate the knowledge gained from this app. Thr are a couple of UI oversights that are annoying, such as not being able to move backwards in your page history so you must retype your keyword search after reading every article.

    Nevertheless the content has filled many gaps in my knowledge of animal care and enabled me reduce veterinary expenses by resolving minor issues at home and teaching me how to identify & monitor for signs of trouble in due time to schedule appts and receive adequate veterinary support as necessary.

    The increased competency in petcare yields a much happier, healthier life for me and my best friends. I would recommend this app to any pet owner.

  • Used to be a great app, now all they want is money.

    I’ve had this app for around 4 years. At first, everything was free & I got my answer within a couple of hours. It was great. A while after, they started charging $5 for a question; which I understand. Now, they charge you $5 for the bare minimum & $20 if you want to add MORE THAN ONE PHOTO!!!! It’s absolutely pathetic how much their prices have gone up. The vets also reply in such vague terms & it’s almost the same exact reply for every question as well. Will no longer be supporting this app, & will not be recommending it to friends & family anymore. Disgusting behavior.

    This app is amazing a simple $5.00 i got to ask my question and a professional gave me an answer within the hour. Its perfect for not stressing your pets out with a vet trip and not stressing you out by breaking the bank. I would 100% recommend using this if you have any questions about your animals.

  • Valuable service, app has some technical quirks

    I’ve used the paid consultations several times and have found them very useful, even if the answer is simply “you do (or don’t) need to see a vet in person soon because ...”.

    One really annoying technical issue: on an iPhone, when I am typing in the chat with a vet, I cannot see the text box - it is covered up by the keyboard. So I can’t see what I’m typing and end up with a lot of typos that are a pain to fix because as soon as you click in the text box, the keyboard comes up and you can’t see the text anymore.

    Another small glitch: sometimes links don’t work. When I tap on them, nothing happens. Other times they work fine.

    I agree with another review that said it would be great if you could search for vets with specific specialties (e.g. ophthalmology) and write more detailed reviews for vets.

    Thank you for getting back to me so quickly. I appreciate your input and advice regarding my rat terrier's lack of muscle on his forehead. I realize an app cannot give a complete clinical answer, not knowing the animal in question...but, you have put my mind somewhat at ease and given clear advice. Beau does have a vet; I just feel better getting a "second opinion". Thanks, again.

  • Like the idea!

    I’ve used this app a lot lately! Most of the time I get helpful or insightful answers. Sometimes someone answers with something super textbook or seems to gloss over the particular details I added in. I usually use the free 24 hour question so I don’t really have complaints there. Just like IRL sometimes you get a vet who you like and sometimes you aren’t quite satisfied. I’ve yet to pay for a consult but certainly would consider it. I do wish there was a way to search vets on the platform and see their question history to seek out one that seems like they might be a good fit for whatever the situation is.

    My main issue with the app itself is that I hardly can get it to work for some reason. My software and app are up to date, but if I’m browsing others questions and click to read full answer, it sits loading. Same thing when I try to view my own profiles question history or tap on notification that I have a response. This freezing up happens every time I use the app far as I can tell. So I use it to ask Qs and have to go to browser when I get notice there’s been a response.

    App could use some work but, the concept is super appreciated and I appreciate those vets and techs who take the time to thoughtfully answer!

  • Best app for any anxious pet owners!

    I overreact constantly about every little thing that seems funny about my cats, and this app makes it so easy for me to get a professional opinion without having to go to the vet all the time. They always calm my nerves when my vet hospital is closed and i’m worrying myself!
    I have never gotten a bad or generic answer.
    I always pick the “24 hr FREE option” and they always respond super quick. The quickest response i have gotten was 1 minute!
