Not working on IPad A16, 26.5 OS

Please fix

Love the game but it has some crucial problems

I really can suggest playing it but on my iPhone 17 pro max the GUI Is cropped and outside the screen, the result is that I can’t see vital info and thus forcing me to make blind choices defeating the strategic aspect.

Appears to not work on new iPads anymore.

Won’t go past the title screen on my M2 iPad.

This used to be amazing

I write this hoping the designers at Inkle see it. This game used to be awesome but is now unplayable on iphone 16. Fogg has a health bar in the bottom right of the screen, the numbers are cut off and cannot be read. This is bad because it is a major game mechanic to maintain his health to determine routes. Play it on a different platform if you can.

10 years later I'm still playing

I return to this game almost every time I get a flight somewhere - something about it is incredibly addictive and satisfying. It's well written and choosing a different route each time is incredibly rewarding.

Still great

An all-time fantastic game. I play it every Christmas.

Still a fantastic game in 2025

Love this game. So much content that replaying it is always fun. One wish: optimize graphics at the corners for rounded screens- for example Fogg’s health is hidden behind the curve

Beautiful

Nice game. Interesting story and characters

BEST GAME EVER

It helped me through 3 flights without any boredom. This game is truly the best!

Actually awful

There are a few "cyoa" games like this where the plot is actually meaningless gibberish and ppl want to feel clever so they give It 5 stars and pretend they liked it or knew what was going on

Great game, NOT OPTIMIZED FOT NEW PHONES

The game has a very important indicator on the bottom right that is completely off the screen on newer phones, making the game significantly worse. Would give it 5 stars if it worked right!

fun interactive fiction

80 Days is less of a game than interactive fiction. Readers of a certain age will recall Choose Your Own Adventure books. 80 Days is a modern version of this based on a steam-punk variation of the Jules Verne classic novel. The concept is simple, but the execution is delightful. The text is in short segments, which gives plenty of opportunity for the graphics and sounds to enhance the experience. Overall, a fun world to explore.

Still playing

Years later, i still enjoy doing a trip on this. The writing is fantastic. Classic

Perfect game

I downloaded this game on a whim, and immediately became an addict. The app is beautifully conceived, with a simple, elegant interface and ever-changing storylines. Its setting is in a firmly Victorian world, but with elements of steampunk which make the politics and the modes of transport highly varied and interesting. You play the role of Phineas Fogg’s faithful valet Passepartout, responsible for all route planning, travel arrangements and money handling, while keeping Fogg happy. You visit cities, towns, hamlets and settlements around the world, dealing with situations as they arise as you push forward, trying to get around the world alive, healthy, and solvent before the 80 days is up and Fogg’s famous wager is lost. Surprisingly, you also have the opportunity to shape your own personality and even find romance.

The interface, the dialogue, and the background music (John Williams does Elgar) all combine to keep you immersed in this 19th century dream world. An experience not to be missed!

Engrossing and nostalgic

I played this game over 5 years ago and I suddenly missed it and redownloaded it. Never done that for a mobile game before.

Can’t see number of hearts on iPhone 15 pro

Seems like a lovely game but I can’t see the hearts as they don’t show properly at the very bottom right of the screen on the iPhone 15 pro. Happy to revise my review and play on if there’s a workaround. For now I’ve requested a refund.

Great game, display issue on iPhone 13 Pro

Excellent game of course. Technical issue where the heart points or whatever are cut off and you can’t see them.

My favourite game

This is one of my favourite games of all time. I hope inkle makes more games like this. More text!!!!

Truly excellent game

Do you have a long car or train or aeroplane ride in your future? Well then this is the perfect game for you! Not only can you take far more interesting and exciting methods of transport than in real life, you can read far more interesting and exciting things than happen in real life! But seriously, this is almost the perfect mobile game. Suitable for either long play sessions or just one leg of your journey during a lunch break, you can play it at your own pace, despite what the promotional materials may imply. The writing and dialogue are brilliant, and in turns both snappily funny and deeply touching. The art for all the different cities and vehicles is beautiful, and the planning aspect is surprisingly deep and complex if you choose to engage deeply, while still being easy to pick up for a more casual player or if you want to focus more on the masterful writing. Five dollars is a great price for this much value. My only complaint is that the Game Center integration where you can see your friends’ past routes as well as your own doesn't seem to work anymore, but I suppose that's inevitable after five years of not being updated. Still, I would strongly advise anyone considering a purchase to do it. If you like narrative games, books, or heck even strategy games, you’ll love this.
