Poor Quality
While the app translates just fine, most of the time I just can’t get it to work. Every time I open it, it is stuck. Like nothing happening on a frozen screen. Restarting the phone does not help. X-ing out of the app and going back on doesn’t help. Mostly I just have to leave it on and frozen and then maybe, just maybe, it springs to life after a few minutes (not seconds.) this makes the app incredibly unreliable especially if you’re dealing with time sensitive issues. I’ve gone back to the free google translate that can actually translate in real time without freezing. Initially this app was fine but with time it’s gotten slow and sticky and I wish I was on a weekly plan that I could cancel any time than on this $70/year charge that I’m stuck with!Show lessMaxhuyt

I have paid and subscribed the years service of this app, my expire date not until 18th April
But now February already stop me using the app and ask me to pay for the subscription, is not even expire yet, what going with you speak and translate, and recently this app being going downhill, can’t even function properly, sometimes work sometimes don’t.
Please could fix it, and stop trying to charge people for money when there subscription not even expire yet. I reported to ITunes see what they can do about it, got scam for 2 month. 😡Show lessloveobey

Thank you for your feedback. The update does not cancel your previous purchase (if you had it) but rather turns it into the free lifetime subscription. You will be able to switch it on if you tap Restore Purchase in the app. If there are some issues or errors in the process - please let us know at support@apalon.comGood when it works… it locks up and I have to uninstall
I use it for an hour then it locks up and nothing works it’s frozen. The only way to get this working again is to delete the app and reinstall to it’s rarely available when I need it, and to reinstall I need wifi. I’ve asked for help on their customer support which hasn’t been acknowledged.Culzean Claire
They charged me before my week trial ended
Be careful when you get the week trial! They charged me before the week ended. (I bought after 6pm on a Monday, and by 10am the next Monday I was already charged). Thankfully I disputed the transaction and got a full refund from Apple, (which is why I increased my star rating). They should fix that issue and maybe even send a notification when they’re going to subscribe/charge you. It was kind of shady! Overall this is a lovely app but as it comes I have some issues if you could make free snapping and speaking for free would be great as I do not feel that it is worth that much money I am much loving my saudia Arabian Arabic journey once again it could of been better like more colour but the basic concept is really good it really help when u live in different countries I would like to thank the developer and producers making it airplane mode and making it as quick as it can answers out of 15 apps I have tried I would recommend this one could you make it free thanksShow lessi like diarys
Inconsistent at best
I paid the yearly subscription and have been using this app for about a year. For the last two months, the app freezes when I tap the American flag to speak for Mexican Spanish translation. It was progressive in terms of diminishing return. The first three months were really awesome. I speak it and it translated perfectly. After some time, I noticed when I tap the flag, there was this long “freeze” before allowing me to speak. Now that I’m 10 months in, it doesn’t allow me to speak unless I wait 5 minutes. Who needs it at that point after I google it!? Cancelled and not worth the full cost if you’re a frequent user. Freezes shouldn’t happen.Show lessTravel Diva Too

Made the difference in building rapport
This was perfect- while I am still learning a new language - having this to fall back in has been a huge relief.
We have used free services - but simply speaking and having it detect that I have finished talking - starting the translation immediately - makes the conversation much more fluid- is worth the monthly fee! Will bring this on our travels - and know that no mater where our travels take us - we can find a transition tool for one monthly fee. For just the price of a coffee.
