  • It’s just a word search. Not “good”for Alzheimer’s

I was hoping for more options than just a simple word search.
My father has vascular dementia, Alzheimer’s AND Lewy body dementia (yes, a person can have all 3). He is not early stages but not end stage either, but this is useless to him and every other person in the memory care unit with him. Seriously, what were you thinking?
I’m specifically looking for “adult looking” (not toddler looking) games but that are a VERY simple basic game. If it looks like it’s for toddlers, they will throw this down and refuse to touch it…. But it has to be BASIC AND SIMPLE!

Things like the flyswatter game but super easy…. Things like match the tool to the job kind of thing…. Or the game where you have an image of a hammer and you pound the nail in….

Come on. It’s not that hard. Spend some time with any amount of dementia patients and you quickly see the things they’d like

In my case, I’m searching for things to distract and entertain my dad while he participates in a special brain scan. (He’ll be waiting for 6 hours and need to be kept entertained and calm.)

Bottom line is I hope you didn’t put a lot of money into this app.

  • ?

I was looking for an easy game for my mum who has Alzheimer’s.
This seemed like a good idea, I spent time putting photos and peoples names on but it just doesn’t work!!??
Not even the basic game works.
