The Scales App

As requested by feedback, the Scales App now no longer has in-app purchases. Instead, the app is now $1.00 (don't worry, if you already have the app you don't have to pay). As a result, all content previously locked behind in-app purchase is now available, even if you didn't buy an in-app purchase previously.

In addition to fitting in more with modern iOS design, you may find more control at your fingertips with fewer button taps to streamline your practice routine. * In further effort of streamlining things, there is now only one In-App Purchase that unlocks all of the content for a reduced price: Scales Pro! * More scale types! Now you can practice modes, whole tone scales, and more by enabling new types in the settings screen * Practice chords and arpeggios too! By using the "flip" icon in the top right, you can enter chords mode, with its own Settings screen to customize which chords are shown separately from scales * Enhance your practicing with a drone and metronome! Listen to tonic of the current scale you're practicing (transposable for instruments that need it), and keep time with a built-in metronome rather than juggling multiple apps or devices. [In-App Purchase] * Learn more about the scales you're practicing! By hitting the "i" button on the main screen, you can see the key signature and relative scale of certain scales as you practice. [In-App Purchase] * Set a minimum for sharps and flats! Rather than disabling scales with a lower sharp and flat count individually, you can filter them out in bulk through the new settings menu * Many more minor improvements an bug fixes have been made as well. - Fixes a bug where updating (not fresh installing) the app from version 1.0 or 1.1 to 1.2 would cause it to crash. This bug was caused by adding the ability to disable individual scales. It is fixed now (sorry for the delay, getting ready for college was tough!) - More evenly distributes scales. The algorithm used to pick a scale was retooled so that you should see less frequency of majors towards the start of the cycle. - Changes the method for changing the maximum number of sharps and flats to a slider - Keeps the screen awake while practicing to avoid resetting the scales you've already used. - Updates syntax for the new Swift 2 language - Includes iOS 9 compatibility Stay tuned for more awesome features coming in the next update! - Toggle individual Scales Ever find yourself skipping scales that pop up because you don't need to practice them?
