Good and useful app but...
I like it and it's been useful - helping me with pronunciation and studying for the MAT. The repetition is good and the different meanings and context are very helpful.
My only two complaints: there is no opt-out button for words I already know. I wish they would make one!
And when you make a list - they plug in other words along with your list words - which is frustrating when I need to learn specific terms and only want to practice those words.
Right now, I'm trying to learn the list I made for the Periodic chart - and after several rounds - I have only had two words of the list and the rest has been a mess of words from The Challenge. It's frustrating when you are trying to study for something specific.

The best for English learners
Wow this app is just worth every single dime. I'm impressed by how fast it builds up my vocabulary in my profession (Law) in just a few days. I get to choose and keep focusing on words with abstract meanings that I could hardly remember without this app. Thank you for creating this!
Good app but can use an update
I like the app, it's very useful and good for vocab building. the dictionary defines words well and makes it easy to learn the word. But the user interface can be improved (an easier button to save words & a button to clear all letters after searching) and an offline dictionary would be nice! but overall, good app.

Update Required
I like the definitions. They help you remember a word. However, you cannot exclusively learn words in a list you have created. Words that they feel you would like/should learn pop up when you're playing the 'game'. Very annoying. They should change this in the next update. It has been nearly a year since the last update (March 2014). Also, an option to add words to a particular list in the app would be handy.

Amazing!!!!!
Quick and instant reply in the 'Look Up' section.
A whole load of words, their synonyms and usage examples. Easily understand words when you look it up in the 'Look Up' section. This app should have a higher price being this extraordinary!π

Good but some glitches
Good way of challenging your perception about what words mean and learning new ones that you might use. Some glitches that I can only put down to a difference between native speakers of English and American English: still oddly engaging.
Excellent learning
This app has a clean, positive interface and a great way of drawing you in to help teach you new words, their meanings and how to spell them.
The app designers have made this process as enjoyable as it could possibly be, using plenty of methods to keep you hooked.
Dictionary definitions are very clear in this app, using as many real-life, in-context examples as can be imagined.
This is a top quality app.

A learning aid like no other
First off, this app is incredibly well designed. It has a point system and many "achievements" that make you feel good about learning words.
Further, the definitions of the words are explanations, written in plain, comprehensibe English. I went online and created my own word list and I also found a list in the app's word list database. This way I can learn the words I see in everyday readings, as well as challanging words I'm not used to seeing.
This app actually helps you learn vocabulary, I've already noticed a difference in the way I write from only using this app for about 3 months. I would recommend every person who values written and verbal expression, which should be all of us. 5 out of 5 stars.

Mhb
This app is extremely useful when it comes to expanding vocab, definitions are simple making them easy to understand, often the origin of words or similar words are mentioned which helps you remember them. The variation in the type of questions keeps it interesting, though there's always room for more. One negative is, although you can add a new word to your list after searching it and clicking "start learning this word", they are added to the All Words list and there is no option to organise or create a list, which I think should be changed in the future update. Otherwise, thumbs up. π

Best dictionary ever!
The explanation of each word is in such a manner that automatically help me remember meaning. Majority of the words are explained based on the current usage in colloquial language, written form and in other various contexts, which ultimately helps understand the nuances of various meanings of the same word.
