Doesn’t play files
It works as a standard hard drive when connected by cable to my iPad, but on the wifi it simply crashes if I try to play a file (sound or video). Perhaps it needs updating for the latest version of iOS. However Buffalo seems to have lost interest in this app. So altogether the app is utterly useless.

Come on guys I’ve got a ministation one and the update doesn’t work! £100 for the hard drive and I can’t use it through my iPhone. Sort it quick please

As per the title, this app won’t connect to my Ministation no matter what I try. Come on Buffalo - sort this out please!

Just wont work
The app will not access photos. On settings it cannot see the app. There is no help on the web. Very disappointed. Buying this hard drive looks like an expensive mistake.
Rubbish.... Just will not connect
So hopeful as the old Air app works but is just too clunky & this looked better. Unfortunately it just doesn't work. Cannot connect Air 2 on iPad Air to Ministation (HDW-P500U3)

Why isn't the firmware simply preinstalled either in the device or in the app?
Finally, I connected the device on a windows (had to be since it comes preformatted for windows), then dragged the firmware I dowloaded from buffalo's site, the app on the iphone recognized it and updated itself. Then the app opened and began working beautifully.

Your ministation has to be one of the best ideas I've seen yet. I bought two of your wireless hard drives with high hopes that seem to have fallen a bit. My biggest issue were the video playback time takes about 35 seconds on some formats and some freeze the app. Adding an option to buy more codec options would be a huge plus also adding a manual for operating the hard drive functions to your app would also help with the combinations and ease of use. Keep up the work I love your products and will continue to support you.
