  • Camera is amazing, this app though….

    1. No landscape mode for settings. When you use camera in landscape then have to change setting like group colour screen switches to portrait. Go back to camera and it is in portrait and you have to pick up iPad rotate to portrait then back to landscape. Every time.

    2. Starting a new session only in portrait mode.

    3. Navigate away from live view and all marked groups are gone. Take a pic every group.

    4. Measure a group and all marked groups gone.

    5. Every group you measure requires you to calibrate over again.

    6. Should be option for all screenshots captured to be saved to camera roll. Cannot swipe through in app gallery left and right, look at one pic go back to gallery tap another etc slow and clunky.

    7. No flow at all.

Would be great if: Start session, mark each shot, group measured as you go, start new group and colour should change for marking, measured group etc and repeat for each group.

The camera is a Ferrari and is amazing but it is teamed up with an AMC Gremlin of an app.

  • Will not connect

Bought the LR-3 target vision camera over a year ago and has been in my gun safe ever sense. Pulled it out today to use and I can not get the app to connect to any of my devices.

Receiver and camera turn on but will not connect to iPad or iPhone.
  • Frustrating

Whenever the app opens, it says camera feed unavailable. I have to rescan, sometimes multiple times, to get a picture. Very quirky. Camera system is good. But the whole thing is only as good as the software. For the price paid, very disappointing.
  • Product does not work great

Product does not work great, it works but the latency is horrible with over 3-5 seconds to wait and see the impact of it even catches it if you are recording. They really need to upgrade the app for Apple products as I know it does not have the same functionality as the app for Androids. I have 4 2 mile cameras and a receiver and they all work the same with latency problem but Target Vision says it is normal so just be informed before you spend $2000 of your hard earned money on there system. I ended up building my own system with a 30x PTZ and over 10 mile LOS range for under $1000 and this system just collects dust on a shelf now.

  • Decent app works as it should with ios

Have it on my iphone and ipad and has worked well at the range
  • Issues when flipping screen

Good app but not easy to use, the impact distance let’s you choose the reference size but not the distance.

Also when flipping your screen and open the menu options it tends to revert back and so you will have to flip the screen again.
  • App is better on Android

Bought an iPad to use for this. I figured it would be nicer on a bigger screen than my phone. I gotta say, everything about the Android build for this app is better. It feels like someone put effort into the Android app, and someone just threw this one together over a weekend. Surprising actually. I half expected it to be the other way around.

  • Crash crash crash

Uploaded update on my iPad and iPhone. App crashes on startup every single time. Thanks for ruining my trip to the range. Completely useless in current form
  • LR-2 (ONE MILE RANGE) – Target Camera System

    1. The program exits when the video or picture is being shared.
    2. Sometimes there is no connection from the receiver or camera.
    3. The software must be updated to comply with the new version iso 12.
  • If you only read 1 review - surprisingly user friendly

I read many of the negative reviews and can’t help but think that they were left by the type of people whose VCR always blinked 12:00 or their microwave never tells the correct time which is why their excuse as to why they always burn their popcorn...

If you are even the slightest bit technically inclined, the app interface is a pleasant breeze to operate and navigate.

It did take me a call into customer support to learn a few helpful tips on aligning the camera and receiver for optimal signal strength. But now I have a much better idea as to they types of terrain where the system will work and how to trouble shoot less than optimal environments.
