  • D/g

I really want to use this app with my students but whenever I click on the g I hear /d/ and the d doesn’t have a sound until after I’ve clicked on the g.

I'm sorry to hear that! Please contact me at support@allaboutlearningpress.com if the app is malfunctioning. I'd be happy to have our developer look into this! In the mean time, you may want to use the free online version: https://www.allaboutlearningpress.com/letter-sounds-app/ ~Merry at AALP
  • G sounds like D 😒

This app is great except the sound for the letter G comes out as the “duh” sound as in letter D. My son had a chuckle and said “This guy needs to learn his letter sounds more than me”. It’s free so no loss for us but still...

    Developer Response

Thanks for your feedback! I'm sorry the sound wasn't correct. I checked on our system and the two sounds are distinct. It's possible that on your system or with your speakers, the sound wasn't clear. Some sounds difficult to catch on audio and are easier to teach in person when the student can see your mouth though.
  • Level 1

We are on AAR Level 1 and I appreciate this simpler option. It is helpful to only have the most common sounds for my Level 1 learner. We also use the tiles on a white board, and I wondered why the vowels aren’t red on the app to match the tiles.

    Developer Response

Hi Courtney, thanks for your feedback! This app was mainly developed for our Pre-reading program when the tiles have not yet been introduced. We wanted to keep things simpler for little ones! As you mentioned though, it can be helpful as you work through the beginning lessons of AAR 1. I'll pass on your suggestion about making the vowels red--that's a good idea!
  • Almost

The sounds do not match the correct letters.... example that G has the D sound

    Developer Response

Thanks for your feedback! We haven't heard this concern from others, and the sounds are correct. Perhaps the sounds are similar on your speakers and are difficult to distinguish? You might try the app on a different device to see if the sounds are clearer. Please feel free to contact us at support@allaboutlearningpress.com for more assistance.
  • Some sounds incorrect

There are two sounds that need to be corrected. The r sounds like /er/ instead of /r/ and the l sounds like /ul/. Please fix this so the app is useful and not teaching the kids the wrong sounds. This applies to the other app as well.
