  • Very good when when working

Very helpful when working most of the time.
  • Voice-over support is crippled. Accuracy gone downhill

For a number of years this application was fantastic but after the Version three, voice-over doesn’t read elements properly and accuracy of reading and scanning is crippled massively. If I were totally blind I would I will advise avoiding this application until the developers acknowledge the problems. Very disappointed in what was a fantastic application until version 2.91.

  • Very useful but expansive

I love using this app. It helps improve my quality of life by getting access to information I would need sighted assistance with otherwise. The only negative is that it’s very pricy so I would recommand lower income users to wait for periods when it is reduced to get it. That’s what I did and I never regret buying KNFB reader.

  • A podcast or tutorial

I Purchased this app when it was half-price because I figured it doesn’t go at half price very often. that was like, a year or two ago, and I’ve still yet to understand how to use this app? back then I used zoom and magnification mostly, now I use voiceover, so using this app is going to be even more challenging for me now that I’m using voice over. I wish there was a podcast on demonstrating or how to use this app. I think people would agree to pay the high cost if they could see or hear a demonstration of its use. That would even help me since I have purchased the app and still don’t know how to use it. that would drive up your sales, and help me at the same time. for example, instructions on how to use it, what you can use it to do, etc.

  • Gotten much better

This app has gotten much better and much more useful than it has been in the past and I like that. I look forward to seeing how much better this app will become. The truth is it’s not at its hundred dollar price tag yet but there have been great improvements and I would like to see more tools being rolled out in the app.

  • Getting slower and more difficult to use KNFB reader

I don’t think that the recognition is getting any better in the last few releases. Also this application never completely leaves my system. Often times after leaving the application the level vibrator still continues to vibrate the phone. Even if I go into the app switcher and close it that way, I’ve got to restart my phone to get it to stop vibrating. Also in the most recent releases, it doesn’t go back to picture mode if there is no text. I personally find the new tab arrangement more difficult to work with than the original one. My old Nokia and 82 with one of the original versions, seems to still work better. I am using an iPhone 7.

  • Awesome App

Awesome app. Extremely handy & helpful.
  • 2 years happy

Love this app. Worth the price. Quick scans, accurate translation, and easy to use.

I had people read my mail in the past, and now they just hand me the envelopes and I read it independently. Was handed a printed memo at the office, and was reading it within seconds. I have no downsides to mention about this app.

  • Six Star App! Dyslexic students must-have.

This is an incredibly powerful, accurate and user-friendly app. I have used Claro-read on my PC for several years and this is definitely up there with it in the quality stakes. The great advantage is that I can dip in and out of books and skim read like other students, without having to scan entire chapters as PDFs first. You can even use it in the library with a pair of headphones. Stunning. The only thing I would improve is the functionality for saving documents you have just scanned/red, which I haven’t got my head round yet. (48 hours after downloading, still head over heels in the honey moon!)

  • very useful program for us who are blind

this is a very useful program particularly when I am unable to read printed material. KNF reader enables me to take a picture of the printed word and allow my phone to read what is written. This saves me getting out my pc and scanner. It does a great job on pdf documents that have not been through full ocr recognition.

    Give it a go.
