Description of Doug dug.

Doug is a Dwarf. Doug loves digging. Well, actually he doesn't: what he likes is to find buried treasure. Anyway, one day Doug decided to gather as much treasure from as deep under the earth as he could go. So Doug dug. And he dug. And he fought monsters and avoided massive avalanches of falling rock. And then he dug some more. And he picked up lots of bling. Now it's your turn. Help Doug dig deep down under the earth in the quest for shimmering jewels and precious gold. Go farther and deeper than any of your friends. Find more gold than anyone in the world. Oh but watch out for colossal cave-ins. No they're really colossal—you won't believe it. And creepy monsters. And bottomless pits. Ah, don't worry it's just a game. Do you like Spelunky? Dig Dug? Well c'mon you like Minecraft don't you? Well then you'll like this. Plus it's cheaper. And better. Plus your friends are playing it and you don't want to be left out, do you? Or maybe no one is playing it, in which case you'll be the one who introduces all your friends to "Doug dug." Then everyone will say, "Hey look there goes *your name here* who introduced us to 'Doug dug' and who is therefore cooler than the rest of us because he/she discovered it first." One of those two great options is bound to happen. So what are you waiting for? Doug dug. Will you? Visit http://youtu.be/GZazFfw_O7A to see how it plays.

  • Best game. Extremely replayable

The latest update fixed my brothers older iPad’s crash on opening app. 99 cents is a very fair price to pay for a game that has legs! I play this 20 or more times every day. I am hoping the developer adds new items to game in the future. Maybe tnt with a way to detonate from a safe distance, or a backpack to hold 2 items. Only 1 thing I wish they’d do: make the reward text ( the ones you get for quickly getting 3 or more of an item) smaller! Frustrating to die from an enemy behind the words! Update! Game still has annoying glitch. Numerous times I fall onto a spider and die!

    Developer Response

It sounds like you had previously bought the game, and the new update asked you to update anyway. Sorry about that! To avoid this problem: 1. Fully quit the game by double-tapping the iPhone home button, then swiping Doug dug off the screen to kill the app. 2. Open Doug dug. 3. You should receive a prompt to log in to your iTunes account. Enter your iTunes credentials to log in. 4. The game should then let your through the obstacle, and you should never see the obstacle again after that. We're also releasing another update that will make the "Restore Purchases" button check whether you've paid for the game more completely. You do have to enter your iTunes password, or the game can't verify whether you've bought it previously. I hope this helps!
  • really good

Despite this game’s simplicity, I like that it still has depth (pun intended), with the creatures and items interacting to create additional hazards or fortuitous opportunities. It definitely reminds me Spelunky - learning to avoid the myriad “dumb ways to die” included, haha.
  • Been playing this game for years

I love it. This game deserves way more players. It's great! Been playing for years. it's my go-to game when I need a short distraction. It never gets old for me because it's always both a challenge and some luck. My high score is 153k and 1096 meters. Not sure if that's good. I'm also not sure how to kill the orges except by jack hammer or invincibility. Is there some other way? Dragons and bombs don't seem to do it unless it takes a ton of them
