Works well on iPad 2
I needed a way to convert an old iPad 2 (32 GB, iOS 9.3.5) into an internet-connected digital photo frame. [Many digital photo frames sync their photos through Asian servers]. With LiveFrame, I have been to easily display about 4,000 (> 14 GB) of photos in a slideshow across two Apple Photos shared albums. I can set: display time, two transition choices, when to update the albums online, photos resolution, fit-to-frame, display of time/date/weather. On the iPad, I had to change the settings for the Photos app to “Optimize iPad Storage” to prevent the app from hanging.

Need some peace of mind
If you take a look at the data used to track you at the bottom of this app page, it says it can see my user content. I desperately need the developers to give me the peace of mind they are not harvesting the photos I use, specifically from my Photos app gallery.
Works on iPad Air
This is a great app for repurposing an old iPad into a digital photo frame. I have a few ideas for the developer to enhance functionality:
- Consider adding the option for a colored square (user selectable for opacity and color) around the clock and weather. This will allow us to read the weather and time when photos with white backgrounds are displayed
- Allow users to pinch-resize the time and weather to dynamically resize these elements to whatever size we see fit.
This is a great app. With these changes above, I’ll be able to more successfully use it as a clock as well.
Thank you for supporting old iPads! Keeping compatibility with the older iPad OS is key to keep these devices from going into the landfill.

Fault
I absolutely love this app but find it so frustrating as theres some sort of bug/fault. I’ve used it for years now and it does exactly what I need when it works but more regularly than not it states “preparing slideshow” with a whiring circle and it won’t play my photos and I can’t get it to work. Very frustrating. I’m guessing it’s a known fault as it’s mentioned 6yrs ago!!

Great customer service
App at times gets disconnected from Facebook, unable to set timer between pictures, but any help you need, just write to them and they will be there to help you.
Good app
Good app for turning an iPad into a photo frame. The one issue I have - it shows hidden photos, so rather than seeing the photos I’d like, I see all my work photos I hide to keep away from my camera roll. The app would be perfect if this was fixed.
Why remove the sleep/wake function?
Has potential but I don’t understand why the sleep/wake function has been removed.
Great option for older iPads
I have been using LiveFrame on an old iPad Mini that doesn’t have enough storage for anything else. This app is great for showing photos from my Google Photos account since I don’t need to use local storage.
I don’t pay for many apps but this was a great deal compared to buying a separate digital photo frame! I love that I can give my old electronics a new purpose (and keep them out of landfill) instead of buying something new.
The app recently stopped working with Google Photos and I wasn’t able to login to my account (thanks to a Google security update). I emailed support and in less than 3 hours I had a response and a solution. Turns out I should have just read all the FAQs 😀.
It would be nice to see additional photo sources like Microsoft OneDrive added.

Lovely apps and Amazing support
Been using this app for almost 2 years on my old ipad. Work from ipad 2 onwards ! It transformed all my old devices to an amazing photo frame feed from facebook, google,etc Support is amazing, got in touch when issue happened and fixed within 2 days. I recommend this app for those who wants to bring back life to their old devices.
