Reviews of Ocean Watch

  • A good app, but why does it crash the first 2 times I launch it?

Using this app on an up-to-date iPad and for a year now it crashes on launch the first 2 tries, then works fine on the 3rd try. All updates are installed. Have deleted and reinstalled the app and problem continues.
I have reported problem to the developers but have yet to see a fix.
A 5 star app IF the crash problem gets fixed. But not until then.
  • What’s next to perfect?

The iPhone version has everything I want, with the bonus of not being data mined. So it’s pretty much perfect. So it can be done. What I’m trying to say is the iPad version has a few things missing, that makes it next to perfect. I’d very much like to see the wind speed, barometric reading etc that is on the iPhone version, added to the iPad version. All the same, thanks for giving us such a great solution for our needs!
  • Good but needs improvement

The iPad version the app crashes every time I try to open details for a station which makes it unusable on that platform. Generally the iPhone version is a good app but it can still be clunky in selecting stations. If I select a station, view the details page w/ tidal graphic and almanac then go back to map, select another station, when I attempt to open the detail page for that station it opens for a second then reverts to the map…it will open properly if I select it again.

Usable but as I said, clunky. The map functionality and the data display w/ graphic and almanac are great and why I keep the app.
