What’s happened? Abandonware?
I’ve just returned to the Hanx writer after quite an absence. Why? Because I really missed those clanking noises and the ‘feel’ of a proper old typewriter.
But what’s happened? I no sooner get more than a couple of lines in and ‘boom!’ The app crashes - regular as clockwork.
Come on, Mr Hanx! Your name’s on the brand. May we please have an update that will stop this from happening? Otherwise how am I going to maintain my Ernest Hemingway vibe next time I’m hanging out at the Blue Parrot typing my next masterpiece?????Show lessansonort
Great app, but…
I really like this app. I I have it grouped with all my other creative apps. I use it as a creative tool. I think the sounds of the old typewriters take me back to younger days and allow me to access a the creativity of youth.
However, I’m having an issue accessing the other typewriters which I bought years ago. The restore purchases does not work.i probably wouldn’t care that much but without the upgrade the amount of pages I can create is limited to 3, or some other very small number. I’ve written to the people who made this app numerous times with no response. Maybe they shelved this one. So I thought I might have a better chance of airing my complaint here in hopes one of the people involved in the making of this app might read it here and be able to help me out. And if you are one of those people reading this please don’t ask me to reach out to the team unless you have updated contact info. My email is attached to my receipt from buying the upgrade. Ok but problematic
Randomly closes the app while working and constantly have to turn off my Bluetooth keyboard extension and turn off the virtual keyboard multiple times otherwise the virtual keyboard obscures the whole page and I can’t see what I’m typing. I was considering upgrading to get the larger font option but after reading reviews and having my own technical issues I’m unsure now. This is a beautiful app with so much potential. I really hope you developers will take the initiative and effort to correct these tiny errors as this your project after all and your product ultimately reflects your character as a developer and the person you are.Show lessShe was here…
