Head Heart Hand

An app for teachers but one that parents, grandparents and carers will find useful too. Need to change the energy in the classroom? Refocus the students? Need to transition students from activity to thoughtful reflection? Or from reading to talking? From thinking to action? Engage them into deeper inquiry? In this app you will find a series of short ‘easy to give’ and ‘quick to do’ activities. They are divided into three categories – head (for thinking and talking), heart (for emotions and relationships) and hand (for making and creating). Just click…up comes a one sentence easy to deliver activity…like it and use it…or just move on to another one waiting to be found. And yes, if it works well then you can keep it in your favourites folder to call on again and again with different students. We designed it with teachers in mind – advisory teachers, home-room teachers, primary teachers … but just about any teacher might find a use for some of these activities. The good news is that parents, grandparents and carers - when looking after children for holidays, long weekends, after school etc - now have some 'ready to hand' ideas to engage them.
