Started taking pics on a semi professional level seven years ago I am mediately began using Adobe Lightroom. Over the years as that application has advanced and features has been added, each new version presents a whole new slew of options for photographers. When the app came out and I realized I could sync my mobile library with my master Lightroom catalog at home. I was thrilled...but there were some very important adjustment settings not included. As the years pass, the app has evolved, presenting users with the frees and there are now a fantastic amount of options that come close to the develop settings on the Lightroom CC application. Adobe had done fantastic work with this program, always, but it's these extra things features if you will that make him an absolute necessity for a photographer. Thank you Adobe. Please keep it up!! -Wes Candela

  • Options available for this app are incredible!

This app has helped me to improve my amateur photography to appear almost professional. The app has auto correct which is convenient when you are in a hurry or new to the app and haven’t learned how to adjust each setting. The AI erase is unbelievable and does such a good job changing or erasing distractions, it’s almost frightening! Blur is my other favorite feature that really takes your photography to another level without a lot of effort and it can be done quickly. The blur and other features have a step by step tutorial that is very helpful. It’s not perfect every time. And, sometimes areas will stay in focus that you would like blurred and vice versa depending on the plane that object is recorded in the picture. Most of my photos are of volleyball so occasionally the blur can be challenging because there a lots of focus points and fast moving ball but, most of the time, it works great!

  • Why did I wait so long?

I’ve been persevering with Capture One for what seems like an eternity because I shoot Fujifilm. I finally got fed up with the lack of features on the iPad and lack of real compatibility with desktop plug ins from other software so I thought I’d give Adobe Lightroom another try and I’m so glad I did. Without doubt the best software there is now and much better at rendering Fuji Raw Files than in the past. I won’t be renewing my Capture One subscription, which pains me after all I’ve invested in them over the years, but they just haven’t kept up, time to go to full Adobe Lightroom.

  • Very strong retouching tool

I’m a hobbyist that kind of dabbles in all fields of photography. I’ve done candid scenes, portrait and landscape photography, cosplay etc. and I use Lightroom almost exclusively for my post-editing and retouching needs. It’s a very powerful tool especially when it comes to light and color correction on the editing side. Lightroom is also an essential tool for learning, Lightroom has comprehensive guides as well as community sourced tutorials that teach you how to edit your photos to effective finished works. Adobe is also constantly making improvements to the available tools and UI, making AI retouching accessible without a significant cost. It’s important to note that Adobe has an ecosystem of tools that work with Lightroom to help people elevate their work, and I would highly recommend anyone looking at this singular app to also check out their photography plan.

Hello Iamcrissie. Thank you for sharing your experience; we're glad you find it user-friendly and easy to navigate!
  • Great, but wish I could put it on my laptop

Absolutely love this app it’s amazing such a good tool for photography. I do wish however though I could access it from my laptop as I only have login from my phone and the app wants me to charge again when I’ve already paid for a full years subscription, apart from that really really good to use, and to be honest, I wouldn’t use anything else Photoshop and the rest of them out the water it’s really easy to use even on a phone version like I said I just wish I could have it on my computer on a bigger screen as it would make my life so much easier when it comes to editing.
Do you have it on a computer? It’s just the fact you cannot transfer and sign in as the same person if you’ve already paid for it on your phone so you have to then pay for another subscription again which I do think is rather cheeky.

  • Great for on the go

As someone who is actively using this as an on the go service. It is so hand an d convenient. It can be slow at times but a lot of this comes down to how much you expect from a suite on your phone

  • Latest update has caused some big issues!

I have always loved this app. It’s incredibly powerful and I’ve always used it as part of my photography editing workflow, however… I’ve just updated it and it has caused some serious issues! Firstly, the whole app just feels slower & more laggy. It takes longer to upload photos to the app and A LOT longer to render and save images. Previously a render & save for a large dimension 100% quality jpeg would take less than 10 seconds and that’s with numerous masks added and adjustments made across the board. Now it takes just over 5 minutes to do the same! I tried it a few times and the same thing every time! 5 minutes for a single photo is crazy, especially when it used to be lovely & quick. Secondly, the new blur feature just crashes the app. As soon as I touch the blur function the whole up freezes and I have no option to force close the app & reopen. This isn’t a huge issue for me as I probably won’t use it much but still needs to be resolved. Lastly, I’m not a fan of the new layout, but that’s my personal opinion and probably something I’ll get used to. I hope these issues are fixed quickly, especially the speed issue, because that could be a deal breaker for me and I’ll have no choice but to use another app.
