Great app but cancelling subscription is a nightmare

I use this app about 3 times a year for editing my astrophotography photos. I generally only pay for the premium features a couple times a year. It’s gotten rather expensive for my budget and I have found cheaper software elsewhere.

When I came to cancel my subscription I’ve found that I’m stuck in a contract with a cancellation fee of 5 times the monthly payment!!! This is farcical considering I only used the app once to edit 2 photos and I’ve had to fork out £30 to do that as I could not cancel my subscription due to not being able to on the app. Now they want me to pay £45 as an early cancellation fee! Absolutely bonkers, never using again. Stay away from subscribing…

Lightroom still the best in photography storage, manipulation, and adjustment

Lightroom is a powerful photography tool that is becoming almost as important in the photography environment as the camera is. It is a tool that is greatly used by professionals as well as amateur/ hobbyists photographers. Thankfully it has maintained its intuitive operating system which is why it can be enjoyed by non professional photographers. However it advances in pace with and at times leading technology and this ensures it is a must have for any professional. And most of all it is available for a monthly subscription that has remained relatively low.

Somethings wrong with camera mode

Very annoying that when I try to take a horizontal picture I often get a small sideways view. I have to quit the app and relaunch, by which time th picture is long gone.

Great features but lacks performance level

I love to use this to edit on the go. The features are amazing- especially the ai removal tool. The biggest flaw I have encountered with this app is that my phone struggles to run it well. I have an iPhone 11 Pro Max so the older cpu isn’t upto standard for running this app. If I use too many masks on the photos with other edits and filters it will either dim the screen due to the phone over heating, or the app will force close itself, losing all the changes I made to the photo before it did this. I would say if you use an older model iPhone to make minimal changes. Or frequently save your progress throughout incase it crashes.
A good feature would be to “flatten” the image when multiple masks are used which may help performance issues in older devices. (If this is already a feature then ignore me- but I have not found this option yet).
Other than this- it’s still a great app.

Doesn’t so as advertised

I’ve tried using this in several pics to remove people and objects, everything I try to remove a person from the image it replaces that person with a different person or it just blurs the spot or adds random parts of other people into the area, in busy areas it clones in extra arms and legs, the generative ai is rubbish. I’ll go back to photoshop, don’t waste your money on this app!!!

E s s e n t i a l

Started taking pics on a semi professional level seven years ago I am mediately began using Adobe Lightroom. Over the years as that application has advanced and features has been added, each new version presents a whole new slew of options for photographers. When the app came out and I realized I could sync my mobile library with my master Lightroom catalog at home. I was thrilled...but there were some very important adjustment settings not included. As the years pass, the app has evolved, presenting users with the frees and there are now a fantastic amount of options that come close to the develop settings on the Lightroom CC application. Adobe had done fantastic work with this program, always, but it's these extra things features if you will that make him an absolute necessity for a photographer. Thank you Adobe. Please keep it up!! -Wes Candela

Options available for this app are incredible!

This app has helped me to improve my amateur photography to appear almost professional. The app has auto correct which is convenient when you are in a hurry or new to the app and haven’t learned how to adjust each setting. The AI erase is unbelievable and does such a good job changing or erasing distractions, it’s almost frightening! Blur is my other favorite feature that really takes your photography to another level without a lot of effort and it can be done quickly. The blur and other features have a step by step tutorial that is very helpful. It’s not perfect every time. And, sometimes areas will stay in focus that you would like blurred and vice versa depending on the plane that object is recorded in the picture. Most of my photos are of volleyball so occasionally the blur can be challenging because there a lots of focus points and fast moving ball but, most of the time, it works great!

Why did I wait so long?

I’ve been persevering with Capture One for what seems like an eternity because I shoot Fujifilm. I finally got fed up with the lack of features on the iPad and lack of real compatibility with desktop plug ins from other software so I thought I’d give Adobe Lightroom another try and I’m so glad I did. Without doubt the best software there is now and much better at rendering Fuji Raw Files than in the past. I won’t be renewing my Capture One subscription, which pains me after all I’ve invested in them over the years, but they just haven’t kept up, time to go to full Adobe Lightroom.

Very strong retouching tool

I’m a hobbyist that kind of dabbles in all fields of photography. I’ve done candid scenes, portrait and landscape photography, cosplay etc. and I use Lightroom almost exclusively for my post-editing and retouching needs. It’s a very powerful tool especially when it comes to light and color correction on the editing side. Lightroom is also an essential tool for learning, Lightroom has comprehensive guides as well as community sourced tutorials that teach you how to edit your photos to effective finished works. Adobe is also constantly making improvements to the available tools and UI, making AI retouching accessible without a significant cost. It’s important to note that Adobe has an ecosystem of tools that work with Lightroom to help people elevate their work, and I would highly recommend anyone looking at this singular app to also check out their photography plan.
