Can only get it to work if I manually click on unlock / lock on the iPhone.

Doesn’t Work
I bought and installed (the paid version) this app about 3 months ago, and it hasn’t worked since. I use my laptop at work and sometimes when I get up, I forget to lock it. I thought this app was going to lock my Mac automatically when I walk away, but it doesn’t. It does however work when I manually lock my Mac from the NearLock app which I why I gave this two stars. In this day and age, I’m so surprised Apple doesn’t have a built in feature. You’d think with the Find My app we’d be able to remotely lock our Macs and other devices. Nope, poor experience all around.

DONT WAST YOUR TIME WORTHLESS
Just like everybody else says it been adbandoned by the developers i downloaded the app thinking it was going to be easy seting up nope u have to go to there webiste an download a file an i did that an it says drage the file to the applicant folder did that an still dont work am not going to wast mine time just to get the app to work to many steps just to even get the app to work properly so dont wast ur time even downloading until they make even if they make it alot easeier just to get it working

Unlocks, doesn’t lock
App description says last update was 5 years ago. Sounds like it’s been abandoned. Running Sonoma on M1 Mac, iOS 17.2.1 on phone. Mac doesn’t auto-lock when phone moves outside the threshold distance, though unlock works when the phone gets close enough. Sent email to the address given on the developer’s website, got an error message saying it couldn’t be delivered because the target mailbox is full! It suggests the developer isn’t reading mail at that address

Device list not updated and buggy. Uninstalled!
Tried to make it work but it would not with my non-M1 chip MBP.
The app store on the MBP had a warning it was incompatible with the macOS app but the description on the iphone app does say it can work with 2012 mac book pro or later. I have a MBP late 2015 running Monterrey.
Ultimately, the app will lock the computer remotely using the app but will not do it automatically based on proximity which is what it seemed this app could do and the reason to download it in the first place.
I already use my watch to unlock.
It won’t let me download the pro version on the iphone or the mac or allow to use it on the watch.
On the watch, it states that the iphone app needs to be turned on or buy the PRO.
Unfortunately, it won’t let me buy the pro and the watch app is not able to register when the iphone app is actually open.

Doesn’t work on macOS Monterey
Spend a significant amount of time trying to troubleshoot, but was unable to get auto lock/unlock working.
Manually locking and unlocking works, just not automatic.

App doesn’t work at all
This app looks like it checks all the boxes and has great functionality that I was looking for however…. None of it works… I tried many times to get it to work but it never did…. The only thing that actually worked was the button in the app would work to lock or unlock my Mac but the proximity features just wouldn’t work at all.
I also tried to get a refund because I bought the pro version and the company didn’t refund the purchase.
I would not recommend this app.

Buggy! Can’t find even type in my password to pair devices.
I used to use Near Lock a lot! It was a great app that seemed to work 95% of the time. I stopped using Mac for a while so I migrated away from it. Recently I purchased a MacBook Air, but I have issues getting my iPhone to pair. When it does pair, I can’t get past the password confirmation screen. It bugs out and starts looking for new devices again.. I would love to see a fix for this.
