Great when it works

Not sure what’s going on - it worked really well for a while but now doesn’t stay connected. Has something changed with the app? Or the iPhone??

Disconnects constantly

I’ve tried using this app on three different phones on various Red cameras over months and different camera firmwares and iOS updates and never had it stay connected for more than 1 min.

Utter rubbish.

Not functional

Even with the phone/iPad close to camera and without any other peripherals or wifi interference, the app disconnects from the camera within a matter of seconds.
Such a shame as on the surface it looks great.

Hello Tim please feel free to get in touch so we can look into any interference and troubleshoot any issue you may have. In most cases it is either an accessory (physical like a top plate or electronically like a video transmitter) that reduces wifi signal on camera. I'll be happy to help you

Waste of my money and time

Bought this to work with my Red Epic-W
Failed me on two projects.
Takes a whole life time to connect. When connected can get it to work for the life of it.
Waste of time and money.

Hello Robert. Sorry to read you had issue keeping the connecting up. Most of the disconnect issues are due to weak wifi signal or interferences. Depending on the surrounding networks or accessories you may have on the camera (internal wifi antenna can be blocked by a top plate or a video transmitter can jam the wifi signal) there are different solution to help get a strong wifi signal on set. Airplane mode + infrastructure wifi with a router fixes it most of the time. More info and troubleshooting tips at http://foolcolor.net/tips.pdf

Must have for Red

It just keeps getting better. This app is a must have for RED camera owners. It just keeps getting better. When the camera is under the drone or hand held on a gimbal this app is my go to.

A fantastic app that allows me to wirelessly control RED EPIC W and SCARLET W on the same set by switching through both cameras. You can also use this app to pull focus on canon still lenses.
