Update has Ruined the app
The simplicity of this app was what made it user friendly, picture taking, speaking is all well and good but without a decent user interface to type words for translation any more, it is just another faffy app trying too hard. Shame!!
This app is garbage
If I could give it less than a star I would. I tried so many times to translate Japanese to English but it wouldn’t scan the words at all. It’d give me a loading screen then tell me it couldn’t do it no matter what I tried. Then on top of that since I had the free version I could only scan 3 times so when they were giving me errors it was also taking away the times I could scan a picture in. This app needs some serious work if it ever wants to be good because as far as I see it this app is trash.

Only allows you 3 times to scan!!!
You have to pay after 3 photo scans. And when you’ve run out an add pops up, it says pay for 12 months, 3 months and 1 month, but it sets it on 12 months automatically to practically scam you! And plus, it doesn’t have a shorter pay time!! Why couldn’t they put 1 week trial instead of a month??!!
Bad update
I used to love this app and would have normally given it five stars. BUT since the update, it just doesn’t work at all. You take the picture and size it, then all you get is the ‘loading’ sign forever!! Please take the update off and go back to the excellent app.
Not very useful but hilarious
I downloaded this app to read instructions off a Japanese product. It was easy to use but the translating was all wrong. Though the outcomes were quite hilarious. It translated "When your finished, you can deliciously eat it" to "If you can, deliciously eat a person". It did give me a small idea on what the instructions said, but overall not reccomended for serious situations.

Too slow or doesn’t work.
App too slow to initialize, then ocr or translator does not respond and the app crashes
Help a student put sometimes without a cost
I really don’t mind the app but come on! I only got 10 tries and I had a whole book to translate. Help a student out without charging them

All this app did was translate the English into English. The point of this app is to translate other languages into English. Don't download this.

So I got this app about a week ago and it just hasn’t worked. Like you can’t touch the screen or even exist off the app without waiting. It causes my phone to freeze. (iPhone 5s newest iOS). It overall looked like a legit I work app but sadly it doesn’t work. It isn’t worth getting in my opinion. Anyways take your chances with it, maybe you can get it to work. I hate publishing bad reviews but it happens. Don’t want others to make the same mistake I did.
I’m deleting it, simple as that.

Don’t mind the ratings
Don’t mind what the score is it’s a great app. People are just upset that they can’t translate the same type of language. For example you might be in Mexico and want to use the app but it uses the most basic form of the language instead of all of the 22 countries form of Spanish.
