Most food review apps are trying to make money off us, the customers, and inevitably become worse after a period of time OR are leeches that prey on restaurants (Yelp). 8it is the opposite. It creates a community that mimics what anyone close to the industry will easily recognize - the close relationship between anyone affiliated to the F&B industry. The app is very interesting, I’m always looking for new places to enjoy and with this app I’m hoping to find some. My only disappointment is that it’s new and doesn’t cover a lot of New Jersey. I’ve seen some but they mostly are NYC. I’ll give it some time to build up the numbers. The concept is really great for a foodie like me. Good luck in future.

Discovered this app while on a trip to NYC (h/t to the good folks at Lil Frankie’s), and love that I can use it here at home in LA. Take it for a spin - you won’t be disappointed, you won’t go hungry, and you’ll probably find a bunch of spots and dishes that you didn’t know/wouldn’t have tried otherwise.

Just moved into downtown NYC and I use 8it all the time!
Its perfect for areas like Chinatown where there’s an over saturation of the same foods… really helps weed out the nonsense!
Also great for last minute date plans if your need a reliable review source!

8it has it all!!! They track every top dish reco & all the hottest food pop-ups, as well as the limited edition dish drops from the best restaurants in NYC. Then it connects you to everything you’d want in one button (order delivery, how to get there, restaurants IG, website, etc)
MUST HAVE IN NYC 🤤
Let me tell you, if you don’t have the 8it app while embarking on a food tour in NYC you may fall victim to the Hardrock cafes and miss out on the hidden gems. This app single handedly curates the most delectable dishes with food porn photos that are nothing short of drool worthy. They’ll bring the food to you or scoop you up and take you there. I can’t wait until they’re global‼️

Completely useless without the “password”
When you download this, you have to have a “password” to use it. To get this password you have to reach out to the devs on Instagram(???) and give them personal information.
This honestly feels like a weird scam. Just make your app work normally or remove it from the store.
