No Trial
I have no idea if I want to buy this app or not, I can’t see what any effects look like because 𝒆𝒗𝒆𝒓𝒚𝒕𝒊𝒎𝒆 I open the app or try to do anything, it redirects to the subscription page - with no other options. Guess I’ll go with “Vintage Film Camera: Retro Art”
Like others have said...
£4.99 a week seems rather a lot. That would make the app costs just over £250 per year. To put that in perspective, I purchased an iPhone SE for for half that, so this is not something I would be able to justify. As I was unable to test the app because it demands I agree to a free 3 day trial followed by an aggressively priced subscription model, I can't comment on how the software performs. That's why I gave it 2 stars.

Having problems
I really want to use this app, but whenever I open it , the pop up for the paid subscription pops up and there’s no way to exit out. Feels like a scam
Can’t use it without a weekly subscription.
I had the same issue as the reviewer above. Can’t use it without the ad coming up asking me to upgrade to the premium, which is 4.99 weekly. That seems a little steep, which was stated also in the previous reviewers feedback. In the response it said they would lower the weekly fee and a year later it is still 4.99. I deleted the app. Will explore another 8mm app option.

Not very good at all
I literally got to press the red large ‘Record’ button on the right for 1 second before the app asked me to do purchase the unlimited extra features, which cost almost 3.99$ with only a three day cancellation period. That’s it. I wasn’t able to test it out or try the app once before deciding wether it would be worth purchasing the additional features, which in my opinion is just bad marketing. How are you going to convince your target audience to use and purchase additional features for your app if you don’t allow them to take it for a test drive and see if they enjoy using it first?

Not worth the download
Can’t even test a video with the free version because the request to subscribe comes up and cannot be closed. Why would anyone pay $5 weekly for a camera app? That’s over $250/year. I wouldn’t have a problem with paying for the app when I purchase it, but that subscription price is insane, there is no value in it. Deleted immediately.

I can’t even try the app out without subscribing to a trial offer which I will have to opt out of in order to not get charged. Absolutely ridiculous. There are plenty of other apps that do the same thing and don’t try to pull this garbage. Don’t download this app.

i would be able to give a review if the app didn’t constantly pop up with the subscription prices every time i load it. i can’t even use the app because it doesn’t let me press an exit button from the subscription offer .

Every time I open the app after a few seconds it comes up with its 3 day free trial thing and I can’t close the thing so I can’t use it please fix! Giveing it a 1 star because I don’t know what else to give it.

First off I would like to say I often don’t feel the need to write reviews bu this app is pretty bad, it started off free when I first downloaded you could use the filter and the effects and I made quite a few videos with it. But after wile I deleted it and then I came back and redownloaded it after few months and now you can’t use ANY filters or effects unless you sell your soul! Once you hit the filter a few seconds later an ad pops up for their premium and all you have to do is spend 5 dollars a week! That a dollar a day not including Sunday and Saturday. Good thing to give my bank account a break for the weekends huh? Anyways it’s not a good ap and I think all the five star reviews are bots. I wouldn’t recommend the app to anybody because without the filters or effects it just doesn’t look like an 8mm camera, all they did was add some grainy effects and call it good. Anyways awful app.

Hello! Your review is not entirely consistent - you hate our app, but say you made a lot of videos with it? There is no need to sell the soul in any case. We are planning to lower the subscription price - the price of $ 5 per week seems to us really quite high, so we will lower it. However, we initially chose this price based on our competitors. App development and advertising is expensive, and you probably know about it. Good luck anyway!

I’m using the freebie version, and the features are as advertised. Everything works as it should, and the videos are very accurate simulations of the Super 8 movies! I will definitely use these in future productions!
