Reviews of Find Your Fitbit

  • No longer works without subscription

I bought this app outright years ago. I just tried to use it for the first time in a year, and now I have to buy it again??

Nope, not going spend $30 to buy it again, to use once a year. I’m sure they will make me buy it again in a year or so.

This app has found my lost Fitbit Flex at least 10 times. The clasp on the band open and fall off, usually in a place where it couldn't be seen, or was covered. This app homes in on it just like it's suppose to! However, it is just a proximity receiver. It takes multiple passes of measuring signal strength up and down to finally locate it. Because the signal can vary slightly when it's stationary you get false variations when you're using it to search. It would be perfect if it was more directional so it could point at where the signal is coming from.

    Developer Response

Thanks. Unfortunately we only have access to the signal strength, and that's not enough to give you a precise direction.
  • I Can Live Again!

One side of my FitBit Charge 5 strap unhooked yesterday afternoon. I didn’t notice until bedtime. I searched everywhere I had been since it last synced to no avail. I priced a new one, but just can’t afford it at this point. I literally couldn’t sleep last night. I was stressed out all day today. I came home and walked around trying to get it to sync. I finally found the general area. I tore it apart and again, nothing. So I searched the Internet for the Bluetooth range of my FitBit. It came up with a review on this app. I downloaded, followed the directions and within about 8 minutes I found my FitBit! In the dark no less! I am so freaking happy that I paid for the Lifetime subscription. It is SO well worth it!
Thank you for creating this App. You saved my FitBit and my sanity! 🤩
  • Success is all that matters

While app/scan function seemed to confirm the fitbit’s location in one of the plausible areas where I likely lost it (outside in overly lush tropiflora - doing yardwork - clasp mechanism on band defective), it initially was less definitive than one might have hoped, vacillating between “warm” and two “hotter” settings, without as much precision as I would have liked. I seemed to be in a 20-25’ range. I walked away twice, coming back later in the day to the narrower range I had seemingly established. With persistence, (and likely greater experience with the app) however, I was able to further focus my proximity from 6-8 ft to 2-4 feet and the “hotness” gauge (reflecting nearness of the object/watch) accurately ramped up to the second hottest setting…and then the VOILA moment.
Having lost the watch two days ago and spent several hours yesterday to no avail (despite a fair degree of confidence I would find) this app worked! And obviously was worth the modest expense.
