The camera is great. With the thought of convenience of the app would make it impeccable but the app is for the most part a let down when it come to letting you record. Update the app and it was make for happy consumers!
Garbage app
Very buggy. Displays on iPhone when initially connecting but when recording, phone display freezes and then goes black. Have to re-start app to get the camera display back on the phone. Very very poor effort. Essentially useless.
Good alternative to go pro
Hi, just purchased the Sjcam 4000 and downloaded this app. Works perfectly on my iPhone 5. Saved quite a few bucks versus the gopro 3+ for similar results. Very happy.

Not working on iPhone 6 iOS 8.1.

App is slow, freezes all the time, unstable!! Terrible.
Get a 'low battery warning' on your phone, app frozen.
Try changing the camera capture mode via wifi, the new setting is not saved, even though is says so.
You can get the 3 sec timer on the sj4000 itself but not via the app.
We know itยดs a cheap device, but the app has been badly programmed, itยดs a joke.
Please update the app fast!

Only works for a remote. Play back is terrible
This app is terrible. Needs a major overhaul. Video play back is distorted, crashes all the time!! If this is not fixed soon, I am contacting Amazon for a full refund. SJCAM 4000 wifi is a great camera for the price. This app ruins this cameras features because it does not work!!!

This app is almost useless it crashes, I cannot see the videos on my iPhone it is very unreliable some time I can copy the pictures to my iPhone some time I can't . Please make a major update !!!
Not 100% Functional
Video recording does not work! Most other functionality is there but menu differs from SJ4000 camera menu. Some settings are different not sure yet how or if that impacts anything. Picture taking works fine.
