  • Worth every penny

This game is awesome! Great storyline, detailed graphic, very creative gameplay and I absolutely love the music/character voice acting. Anxiously waiting for the release of the third chapter!
  • Truly a masterpiece

Worth every penny. A complete and unique experience. The developers are some very talented folk. The amount of detail that went into this game is mind-boggling.
  • GREAT!!!

Great game, I didn't want it to end I had to make myself stop playing now and then so I wouldn't play straight thru. I wanted to savor it. The only complaint I have is the amount of time I had to wait for chapter two to be released after chapter one, but I would rather wait to play a quality game than play a rushed (just to get the money) game. Thanks for making this incredible series. Now hurry up and get chapter three out!!! Ha

  • Total Thumbs Up Mon!

I immensely enjoyed this game. I was spellbound!
It is rare to find a good game with so many fun elements to keep me glued to it like crazy. It was funny, interesting, and the characters were intriguing. I want to encourage the creators to make many sequels and thank them for allowing Part I to be free. I cannot wait for the next one mon!

  • Yeah, Mon!

Great point and click game. Chapter 2 took forever to come out, but it was worth the wait. I just hope the next one doesn't take that long. I want to find out what happened to Kaunandodo.
  • Fun!

Just as fun as the first installment. Let's hope it doesn't take another two years for chapter three!
  • Great Game!

Loved the first chapter! Second chapter didn't disappoint either! Great game to play to pass time and get lost in figuring out what to do next. Can't wait for the final Chapter!!
  • Engrossing story

Journey Down has a terrific story line and a point-and-click adventure that keeps you engaged. After the amazing first chapter, I plunked down full price for #2 to support the developers. Well worth it, though I think this is a smidgeon not quite as good.

Be aware that the faces of the characters are very stylized, based on African(?) masks. I thought in the first chapter it was fine (Bwana, Lina, etc look lovely.) In the 2nd chapter it often looks creepy. Barlow looks monstrous. My young kids played the first but the second seems more mature (the initial encounter with the sultry woman, the women who I think are prostitutes, the innuendoes between Barlow and Lina).

    Improvements that would be appreciated:
    - graphics could be a little brighter, especially in the harbor scene before Morton's lighthouse. It is black on my screen. I can't even see Bwana.
    - shorten dialogue after first repetition or let a single tap end the conversation This game is sometimes very wordy.
    - a notebook to remind us of our goals. After a day, I can't immediately recall what I am doing or where I found the whatever
    - a help system (obscure is ok but I am so stuck right now)

  • There aren't enough like this

It's so rare to find such well-produced games in the App Store anymore. This sequel is as good as the first and leaves you wanting more! (Hey, that rhymes!) Similar to Monkey Island 3D except with better controls and without the lagging animation problems. Made me sad to see the memorial dedication at the end--RIP Simon. Great game.

  • Paced perfectly

I admit I have a problem with my own patience when it comes to point and click games ...I delete most of them after the first 5 minutes of play but this series fits in my "sweet spot" of just enough dialogue to keep the back story going while letting me jump in and start exploring. It's fun and funny. I just have to be patient while I anxiously await the third episode. I miss bwana and kits already!!!
