  • Widget still limited

It’s an excellent app but I wish it could display different time zones on each instance of the widget, so that I could swipe/toggle through the various widgets to view more times zones. Currently all instances of the widget display the same time zones, and I don’t want to use the large widget cause then I wouldn’t have room for any other widgets.

  • Best world clock widget and customer service!

I have been using this app for years now and it far exceeds the expectations I had for a world clock app! I have friends and family in many different parts of the world and this is exactly what I needed to keep track of things like scheduled video chats or to simply see if Its a good time to send a text! Thank you for an amazing app!

  • Best World clock app I’ve tried

Since moving to another country I wanted a great world clock and have tried several. I have liked others but love this one! I have found it to be reliable, accurate, easy to use and full of features I enjoy (like colors and the widget and ability to name clocks) that I enjoy using!

    Keep up the good work!

  • Perfect

I downloaded this app because i have internet friends who are all in different time zones. This app is great help for when i want to chat with someone, but dont want to interrupt their sleep or school hours. Very user friendly, and works similar to the iOS clock app, with a few extra perks. I recommend!

  • Better than Apple’s

It’s visually appealing. It doesn’t limit you to choosing only 24 and it lets you customize your city name— USUALLY— there is some glitch in that I have figure a complete workaround for, but you get the idea— it’s a fun and reliable app.
  • Widget keeps freezing

I have a 12 pro Max don't phone is pretty up to date. I bought the paid version as I thought it was worth the small fee. I set the biggest widget up but encountered 2 big issues. First, it only shows the first 12 cities from the app and I have 48 in there. This would be fine if the widget itself would scroll onscreen but it doesn't. To see any timezones beyond what the widget shows, you have to open the app. Second, the widget keeps freezing. I removed the widget and reinstalled. Now it's stuck with a bunch of dots and no times showing. I don't know what to do. Great concept. Fix these issues and my score would be much better. Right now it's not even functional.

  • World Clock: Minimal Performance For Lots Of $$$$

I understand that widgets that provide convenience have value. I don’t object to app authors making money on their brainchildren. What I do object to is what seems to be the new world order wherein app makers rent the use of their apps rather than selling them for a fixed price.

Something simple like world time is a relatively simple concept. The info to figure it out is readily available for free. The ability to sync the timing of an international meeting is a convenience. Why the authors expect me to rent the function for $0.99/month ongoing is beyond me. I’d consider paying $0.99 for the fully loaded app outright, but $12 a year for the upgrade to enable that? C’mon. The rest of the upgrade package doesn’t have enough merit to impress.

Hi B&BB, thanks for taking the time to leave a review. The subscription is totally optional, the vast majority of people don't take it and use the main feature of the app (the widget) for free. It's interesting to hear that you think that app development is simple, and that the tools required to build and maintain an app are available for free! Keeping up with new devices and new versions of iOS is ongoing work, even for apps that appear 'simple'. The $4.99 per year and/or 99 cents per month allows us to continue work on the app, keep it functioning, squash bugs, and add new features. However, as mentioned, subscribing in the first place is totally optional.
  • no options, not customizable

    ***UPDATE***

This app just did an update and there are now more settings offered! I was now able to update to a digital clock display, add the time zone date, change theme, and it provided additional options that I chose to leave as/is. I am upgrading my rating from 2 to 5 stars. THANK YOU APP DEVELOPERS! :)

This is an extremely spartan no frills world clock. If all you want is an extremely plain jane world clock that merely shows you an old fashioned clock with a hour and minute hand and absolutely nothing else then this is the app for you. But there is literally nothing else offered, i wanted to customize things and add alarm clocks that go off at 9:00 in Switzerland time etc., but that’s not offered here. I wish I would have shopped around on the app store before buying this one.

    Developer Response

Hi there, thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. The main feature of the app (the widget) is free. We wouldn't call it 'old-fashioned' or 'plain Jane' though - there's 7 widgets to choose from. The paid version of the app has a lot of great features such as the time zone calculator, the online Google time zone lookup and the ability to change themes. Granted, there's no alarm feature, but the time zone calculator allows you to create a calendar event which can be shared with others. If you are having trouble accessing and using these features, please send a message to our support team via the app and we'll be glad to help.
  • Simplicity-Functionality....and More

Without a doubt, this is a tool that performs just exactly what you require of it. As opposed to other world time apps, this one has many more city references so you don’t have to find another city in the same time zone. The simple yet pleasing customizable interface let’s you personalize the display. What is most unusual is the customer service. Any inquiry or problem is answered promptly by the developer himself, which is refreshing to say the least.

  • Widget does not update

[update] Changes are seen only after turning off iCloud sync in the Settings app. Turning off iCloud sync in the app itself does nothing. Clearly the app has not been tested, and is very buggy

    [previous]
Changes to selected time zone cities in the app are not reflected in the widget. Deleting and then re-adding the widget doesn’t help, it just shows the old cities in the widget.
