The app is good, the fairness of payouts…not so much!
I like the app for uploading illustrations and photos. However, there is no way to upload video content, which is disappointing being that video is where the earnings are. Also, when I use the app to look at my portfolio, many of my images repeat themselves. My main complaint is regarding payouts. Instead of offering payout tiers based on a rolling 12 month period, you get wiped to Zero and have to earn your way back up the tiers at the beginning of every year. It isn’t a fair system. A better way would be to allow contributors to maintain their higher tier earnings based on a rolling 12 month sales period. If they keep selling, they keep earning on the higher tier. If they don’t keep selling and aren’t contributing new content to maintain higher amounts of sales, they would drop down to a lower tier. That would be fair.Show lessKvergottini

Get random issues such as “redundant keywords”, yet they don’t tell you which one’s are the issue.

The app is good. It would be way more helpful if it indicated the total sale stats for videos like it does for images and allowed more than ten image uploads at a time. Otherwise it has good basic info and is easy to useMoon Child 411
Good, but missing some features from online submission process
I love using this app for uploarding my submissions. However, it is still missing a few useful features from the online version. So, I still switch to the web, once all my images are uploaded, unfortunately. Also, you cannot upload video. When I can do the whole process from start to finish (same features) using the app, I will change to 5 stars.Show lessDecent Contributor
I’ve been a contributor with ShutterStock for a couple years now. It has its ups and downs and I haven’t quite figured out how to get consistent sales yet even with a couple thousand photos. But, sometimes I hit it big and sometimes I make 37 cent. It’s fun, easy, and only soaks up as much time in a day or week as I personally want it too which makes doing this convenient. That said, I wish ShutterStock would change a few things just to be a bit more consistent on pricing. Otherwise, the app itself works great.Show lessKochampftt
