Great app, content could do with some tweaking.
The app is fantastic and works really well. Love the tracker and the daily bulletins. Would like to see more of the sailing though and not just what they deem 'dramatic' events. These boats sailing in big breeze and waves is something I want to see more of!

Amazing Once Again!
I've been a silent fan of the Volvo for years and now the technology present allows me the opportunity to be there as a safe, warm, and dry observer. The tracking system is unbelievable. Being able to track the teams as they go through the various conditions is the best.
I also like the Sailing Central video reports. They are well written and equally well presented. There is just enough "inside" information to keep everyone interested.

Amazingly impressive!!
Every morning and every evening and even during the day we are watching with the kids the most amazing shots from the other side of the world. You really feel like being part of the adventure.
With the tracker I am closely following the race cheering when we are winning ground and hoping for a rebound if they are falling behind. I have never been able to follow the event so intense! Thanks a lot.

Great race and an App that does it justice
A wonderful app. From GPS coverage of the fleet, up dated every 3 hours (only quibble as boat positions are known 24/7 in realtime), to great coverage by a reporter on each boat, fantastic video features, lots of boat navigational data, tons of great photos. This shows the potential of coverage for the great long distance boat races of the future.

Great race experience, still crashes on opening race tracker notifications
I really enjoy following the race from this app and look at it multiple times per day. There are a few things which decrease the amount of fun.
Opening race tracker notifications usually crash the app. This has been an issue across all updates and though it seems some effort has gone into fixing it, this bug just hasn't been squashed.
The intro video—I've seen it dozens of times. After hitting the X a few times can it just be gone forever?
More content. Particularly the "From the Boats" section of the website which aggregates all the OBR blog entries. This requires a separate visit via Mobile Safari today.
Otherwise, keep sending it!

Excellent App
This version runs smoothly, easy to navigate, frequently used links on menu (ranking, tracker) load quickly. Drill down by swiping to see wind speed, direction, boat performance. Virtual Eye tracker is easy to zoom and switch views, which work properly and smoothly. Videos load quickly and run smoothly with excellent high def quality.

Nice UI. Media Good. Tracker Ok.
The app has improved since the first version last October. The media experience is great. I don't use the TV, since it seems to just play whatever it wants to, but the on demand vids and articles are delivered well. The UI is fun and modern. The tracker is pretty good, but the weather data is still somewhat limited. I would like to see the latest GRIB data for the full route of the current leg. The isobar view seems to have low resolution versus NOAA weather charts for example. The tracker and scoreboard do s nice job of showing current conditions for each boat. Overall it's definitely worth downloading the app, and I use it every day. The race is not to be missed, and the app is a great way to follow it.
