3.1.1

April 11, 2022

Thanks for using Reported to report cars blocking bike lanes, crosswalks and sidewalks in NYC. This update fixes a few issues in the last release and adds some new functionality: We now support adding the license state! The list of states shows the top 10 most common states, followed by options for USPS, NYPD and No plate (if the vehicle has no plate or the plate is unknown), followed by the remaining states in alphabetical order. Fixed a problem with license plate validation. Now you can change the plate and it should work fine. You can upload multiple photos The start screen now has a big button to Add Photo to begin the submission process so it's simpler. We reduced the complaint options to the ones that are most used. You can now add a photo that does not have a visible license plate, and then add it later (if your photo is a side view, for example) Please follow us on Twitter @Reported_NYC Any issues or feedback? We no longer need your home address to submit to 311. So in this version, we removed those fields from the Profile screen and new users no longer need to enter that info.

Fixed a major bug with the location selection screen in which the pin was not oriented properly. If you modified the address of your submissions, the addresses would be off by at least 10-15 blocks. This release fixes this gnarly bug and also massively improves the screen with the Google Places so you can confidently select an address, business or area where the incident took place.

First update of the new year! Thank you for being part of the Reported community. Improvements you'll notice: - Removed the taxi color selection buttons. You can now, in fewer clicks, submit a complaint about *any* vehicle type, not just taxis and For-Hire-Vehicles (FHVs) such as Ubers. Next time you see a delivery truck in the bike lane, feel free to report it. - Added the "Notes" field for the 311 status. When you tap an existing complaint's Service Request number from 311, it'll expand to show you the more information on the status of your complaint. Updates you won't notice: - Removed redundant data from getting submitted to our backend - Added location object geopoint (for future push notifications) - Improved authentication - Upgraded several libraries and Swift to 4.2 Whether you bike or walk in NYC, we hope you've been feeling empowered by Reported. If you don't follow us on Twitter, check out @Reported_NYC. We posted a 2018 Year in Review Tweet-storm you should check out also.

Reviews of Reported NYC

  • App Is No Longer Operable

It’s July 31st, 2023 & for the past month and a half, the app constantly errors with some ‘503’ error when attempting to complete a reporting.

In an attempt to troubleshoot it. I deleted the app, shut down my iPhone, restarted, & re-downloaded the app. No happiness. Now it doesn’t even allow me to log in. And yes, I’m sure I entered the correct email and password.

Don’t waste your time. Unfortunately, I did.
  • It used to work, now it doesn’t

It’s July 25th, 2023. The last time this app actually worked, where I was able to report something - without a ‘503’ error - was probably over a month ago.

    Don’t waste your time.
  • App Is Bogus

Using this app, I’ve reported - for over a year and a half now - illegal parking done by MTA bus drivers on 6th Ave at Greeley Sq. Nothing has been done. These bus drivers continue to think they’re above the law & can block busy traffic - to literally have a smoke and look at their iPhones. This app has done nothing to stop the continued illegal parking these MTA bus drivers are doing. Wouldn’t be so bad - if this wasn’t one of the busiest traffic areas in the city. But there they are, blocking traffic. And this app hasn’t helped at all. I must have “reported” them AT LEAST 200 TIMES. Nothing…
