No way to delete a file stored on the ios smartphone.
No way to delete a transfered file
so far it's ok. i like the new feature in the newer recorders to be able to do this. but there's one major thing that needs to be addressed (there may be other things too), and that is the ability to delete an sound file that has been transfered over from the recorder to the ios device. currently, there just ISN'T a way to do this...which is really weird.

Too glitchy (22wl)
Even after firmware updates the app is not good enough for professional use - although graphically lovely its just not good enough. There's no live preview or atleast wouldn't work for me & everytime I changed an option it crashed out on me so I had to quit the app and reconnect via the wifi settings menu - way too long a work around for something that's supposed to save time! Ohh and no remote format card option. Or a way to change the quick dial Mode - sorry to hate but I really really wish this worked! But can't risk waiting for future updates so will have to look elsewhere.

Almost perfect...
This is a very good app - it would be an excellent app if Tascam could add either an audio copy/paste facility or link the app to AudioShare; so that tracks captured on my recorder could be taken into editing DAW software such as Auria, for further work & mastering. Nearly there, Tascam...
Needs some work, otherwise a good app
This apps works really well I haven't had any noticeable problems. The ability to transfer tracks wirelessly and to essentially use the app as a remote for the recorder allowing it to control settings too is a bonus. The only downside is that there is no in app option to delete unwanted tracks which in my opinion hinders the 'wireless' selling point if you have to connect to iTunes to do this.

Works fine for v1.0
Use this with a DR-44WL and it works great for remote control of the TASCAM recorder. I have already used it at three events with no trouble. You can control the inputs, effects, etc. remotely, and then download the recording to the iPhone to listen to it. Feels a little unrefined, but it does work fine. No crashes, freezes, or errors after several hours of use.

Such a horrible device and even more terrible app
Just spent $160 to have this bad experience. Even a school kid can write a better app. Will never buy a tascam or teach product - no sense of quality or design !
Has the potential to powerful
Please add inter-app audio, audio copy, and iCloud backup of downloaded files.
If you allow these options for moving around downloaded files this will be a powerful app.
Live monitoring would be a very big plus as well.

Working but not complete
I was able to control the transport and transfer files to my iPhone 6. Working pretty well but apparently they're still working on it. (No Soundcloud or streaming yet.) Otherwise pretty slick.
Needs work!
To the guy who couldn't get wifi connection to work, make sure you update to the latest firmware/wifi firmware if the recorder. The new version connects reliably.
The issue is that even with the new version, there is no live monitoring of any kind. Or playback monitoring. Hitting play makes the recorder play out of its tiny speaker. Pretty stupid and makes the wifi side of this thing zero value for me. Fix it!
Also, level monitoring isn't smooth. Graph just jumps around. Not a good ui experience there.
