As someone who's struggling with low vision and as novel hobbyist this has been a God send, and it's an indispensable part of my life. 100% recommend it and stand behind this product and developer, they're quick to always fix and help whenever the need arises.

Top pick!

I’ve tried other paid text to speech apps and by far this one is my favorite! Not just because of the app’s functionality but also the app developers customer service. They are very responsive to inquiries and suggestions on ways to improve their product. Well worth the price. I’m extremely pleased.

A great tool to make my time more proficient

I save so much time being able to multitask with this tool! I can research information on any website and most of the time we out loud can read it to me. Allowing me to get additional task completed. Also I lose my patience when trying to read written words and usually get headaches whenever my brain feels like I’ve been reading to much. Headaches are most like caused from bending my neck to look down and read text from website articles on my phone or tablet. So web out loud is literally saving me from my neck pain too! WebOutLoud allows me to read or aka listen to more articles than what my own reading speed is, this allows me to get more done. It is so very easy to use also! I simply share and open the webpage I’m reading into WebOutLoud and hit play. So there is no copy, cut and pasting into another app that will read text for me. It’s much more simple just click one icon and open that webpage up in WebOutLoud.
Very useful, time saving app! I love it!

Requesting adblock!

This is my go-to reader in the few occasions I need a reader to read directly from the browser as exporting the page doesnt work for whatever non-related reason.

I would LOVE for an option for a built in adblock in the browser 🫠 i’m not talking about the “no ads” that are forced onto you by the app - i bought the no ad plan - i’m talking about the browser ads placed by websites. 😩 i know there is reader mode that will get ride of the appearance of ads, but there are a handful of websites that reader mode is not very compatible with and the text gets skipped sometimes.

Hi thanks for the feedback. When you come across a webpage that doesn’t export, please use the “Report a Problem” feature, and I’ll do my best to fix it. As for ad blocking, you can install a system wide content blocker. There are a ton of them on the App Store which can prevent ads from loading in WOL.

instead of going to the same attention Saved Content it create an unwanted folder

OK, if this is what the update it’s unnecessary fixing problems I cannot understand but adding a folder for a new content I just confuses me even more having to go back-and-forth between each one if it’s possible could you fix that? I feel like I shouldn’t have to do unnecessary work just to save content.

Constant freezing

This app is amazing and I pretty much use it daily. My extreme frustration is with the fact that it freezes constantly at the start of use. I must close the app out 7-8 times before I can even start listening. I find this outrageous when I have written to the developer about this before and have a $120/ year paid subscription. I’ve written to the developer a second time and do hope they rectify the issue so I don’t have to unsubscribe. It is otherwise a REALLY lovely app.

Best reading app for web novels!

I use it to convert text to speech using voices on the iPhone. I prefer the free version over the premium version.

When using the premium version, the phone gets hot because it does a lot of processing.

Poor execution

Great app but a bit of a buggy mess. Ao3 is ranked third most used site, but the saves don’t title any pages from that site properly. Frequently needs to be closed and reopened before it’ll play. Won’t restore purchases.

There is also a “report a problem” feature within the app. I will work with you to address the issues if you’d be so kind as to share some info with me like what iOS version you’re using, voice, etc. You said that restore purchase is not working. I cant reproduce it but obviously it is something that I would want to fix immediately, so I’d definitely appreciate some details. Thanks

(Fixed!!) Getting Ads Despite Subscription and Other Issues

Update:
The issues with the ads and login have been resolved, no more problems there. Just the random lagging or stopping still occurs fairly often.

Don’t like that there is no place within the app itself to review my subscription status/features, except for when an ad appears, there should be a dedicated option in the main menu where I can do this. Also reporting a problem through the app requires logging in, but trying to log in causes an error. Also frequently having issues where the reader will just randomly stop reading.
