No information given on how to use the program

It would really be nice if when first installed, a couple of pop ups point to each button on the toolbar and explain what it is, and how to use it

now i just have this random tool bar with different buttons and i dont know what does what. Also, where do the downloads even save? it just tells you absolutely nothing...

If you hover your mouse over the buttons, you will see a tool tip. We also have some information at https://WebOutLoud.io/help. Also, please be sure to watch the quick start guide. It is a very short video that will get you started. I try to make the app as self explanatory as possible. If you have more questions, we can be reached through the in-app messaging system. Just press the triangle alert symbol in the tool bar.

Okay app but very expensive

Pretty okay app Let’s you listen to websites, online books, etc plus the voices are nice
Problem is that it’s very expensive considering that you are paying a weekly subscription of $10 yet it only has a limit off 1 million words a month and charges you $40 to buy a million more or the app stops working even though you are paying $10 a week. So it charges you $10 a week but if you listen to a book that’s 1 million words in one week the app will stop working for the rest off the month unless you pay another $40 to buy another million words, however it still keeps charging you a weekly subscription.

Better than Speechify for my needs as a language learner

My problem with speechify is that I couldn’t look up words I didn’t know due to the way speechify imports it’s text. The extension for this app fixes that. As a Japanese learner. I can seamlessly use my pop up dictionary extension in combination with text to speech. And it’s frank the best experience ever.

Love it but it could use some work

I got this app a few years ago, when I was looking for an app to read my online books to me while I took long car rides for my job. I’ve always loved it, but recently, the app has been skipping over words and resetting itself every time I click the pause button. I love the WebOutLoud app, but if this continues I will probably have to find an app that doesn’t read my books out loud like cavemen.

Four stars for at least keeping my attention for more than a few years though

Hi thanks for the feedback. Please email me at contact@weboutloud.io. I hope to work with you to resolve the problem you described

Love reading books during work great features other apps don’t have!

This is my second app I tried for out loud reading because I love reading novels but I’m at work and need to use my hands to work and so far this app is fast easy to use and you can turn pages when you copy the website and past from the web because some out loud reading apps don’t have that feature with is a must because you don’t want to keep copying and pasting from the website because you can’t turn to the next page.

Thanks for the kind words!

Love this App, But

After the most recent update the app has been randomly crashing while reading.

Otherwise I’ve been happily using this app for about 2 years and I love the updates you’ve been making.

Great for study

Great for study but the voice is a bit grating if it’s a long article 😅

The best app for reading.

The best app for reading. I’ve been using it for about five years. I would highly recommend.

Very useful!

There are so many things I want to read and so little time! This app works great, letting me get two things done at once - drive, clean the kitchen, get out for exercise, and still get to some of the articles on my list. Super helpful!
