WARNING: Due to a bug on LIFX's side, if your bulbs is running the latest firmware (updated after June 15, 2015) THIS APP WON'T WORK. A new version is under development and will be updated ASAP. If you are running an older firmware, it'll work just fine. ======================= *If this update pleases you, please consider updating you rating, or adding a comment on the App Store* Phew, long time no see. I’ve had a lot on my plate lately, but I’ve read all of your feedbacks and I hope this update will please most of you. Remember, feel free to reach me via email (maxime.dechalendar@me.com), Twitter (@DCMaxxx), GitHub (DCMaxxx) if you have any questions or enquiry ! - Change your light’s intensity from the widget You can now change the intensity of a light from the widget. Simply add one in the companion app, (such as 'Bed time', 10% brightness) and you can keep the same colour, but make your light brighter or darker. - Live feedback when adding a colour or intensity When you add a new value in the companion app, you can pick a light (or collection) and the selected colour/intensity will be reflected on it. It’ll be easier to pick exactly the ambiance you want. - One more thing : Apple Watch support ! If you’re a lucky owner of the Apple Watch, you can now control your bulbs from your wrist. As with the widget, the watch app will display your configured lights, preferred colours and intensities, and you can turn your lights on & off. And, along the way : - Better UX when adding a LIFX light in the companion app - Lower brightness limit - iPhone 6 & 6 Plus optimized

Reviews of LIFX Widget

  • Doesn’t work

Does not work as of 2020
  • Disappointing

V4.0 feels like a step in exactly the wrong direction. The previous versions allowed control of four lights or groups within a single row of screen space, but now, only one light/group can be controlled per row. I’m all for the “view more“ feature, but not at the expense of a 300% increase in on-screen real estate to control the same four lights as before.
  • New version removes everything I loved about this simple widget :(

It used to be simple, now I have to “show more” to get to my lights. It’s no longer quick and simple and takes up too much screen real estate.

    Developer Response

Hi Eddie, First, I'm sorry to see this update has disappointed you. I've been working quite some time on it, because because I've received a lot of feedbacks saying the app doesn't really match with the "new" notification center style, this seemed to be the "popular" opinion. Unfortunately, the "Show more" button is a requirement now for widgets (imposed by Apple), and the widget *must* support the default size (when just a single light is displayed). You'll probably notice that all of the other widgets have this "Show less" / "Show more" behaviour. However, if you've clicked on "Show more" once, it should be the default when you open the notification centre again. Could you let me know if this works for you ? Also, would you be kind enough to contact me by mail (maxime.dechalendar@me.com) so we can discuss it further, and I can understand what's bugging you with this one and improve in the upcoming update ? Thanks a lot for your time and feedback, Maxime.
