(Star Wars galaxy of cash) malicious pay wall It is getting so bad almost half the community has left. They introduced pay wall mechanics called datacrons. That last in your account for about three months and then disappear forever. Making you able to pay to win against you opponent. The only way to get them is with money now on average for one 300$ USD. The model of the game is to unlock hero’s however you need to farm shards to get them to 7 stars so you can then gear them up to then relic them to then unlock the character you actually wanted. Chances are if you want the character you will have to invest months or years. As some of them you need to do this 16 times to get that one character you wanted. However they are also locked behind other character! Now the pay model part!!!

You need to be a certain level and then you can do all the following I mentioned as well as mod the character's. The top players drop around 100,000$ yearly and has in recent update’s made it so you can no longer play without spending money. In fact they are actually now starting to punish the players left because no new players are joining. If you made it this far into the review and still want the game, you should probably seek help for your mental instability.

Episode Pass has ruined this game
Maxing GC behind a paywall along with forcing us to invest in characters we do not want to invest in has ruined the experience of this game. The devs need to go on the forums and read the reviews from players who love this game (including myself) and rework it. Many people are quitting this after years of time and investment and the payoff of their profit from this episode pass will not make up for the loss of valuable, passionate players.

The latest update has killed the game off.
I’ve played this game since it’s humble beginning. I’ve seen the community grow into something genuinely special. I’ve made life long friendships through guilds, forums, and Reddit. Content creators streaming the game, helping with theory crafting, and keeping the buzz alive! I’ve spent literally £1000’s over the years, and I’d happily do it all again as I’ve loved the journey and Star Wars as a whole. But my word what have CG done with this latest update. They’ve completely changed the format, sucking every ounce of fun left. It’s psychologically draining to play now, as it feels like it’s guilt tripping you into having to buy characters you may have zero interest in. And charging you a minimum of £40-£60 a month to play a mobile game is absolutely criminal. It’s crazy! I’m going to wait for the feedback and decisions CG inevitably will come forward and make as it’s gone down like a led balloon with the community, before making a decision about quitting the game for good. I’m absolutely devastated by what they’ve done to a perfectly good game. And I know my sentiments are shared by 1000’s of other players. Please CG. Hold your hands up. Admit you’re wrong. And do the right thing.

Change back!
I’ve been playing daily for about 5 years and honestly the layout of this new update is HORRIBLE. It’s putting me right off the game, despite all I’ve worked towards. Please change it back. This is really ugly and difficult. I hate the daily quest layout. And the events are now confusing. Nobody needed it changed.

Billion dollar game should treat players better!!
I’ve played this game pretty much since launched 7 years ago and instantly I was hooked. It was fun collecting characters and unlocking legendary characters like Commander Luke Skywalker and Chewbacca. But a couple years ago the developers introduced “Galactic Legends” these extremely powerful toons required 10-12 toons to be fully geared and reliced a process that took months and months to achieve just to start the unlocking process. These 10-12 required toons were not even needed for the event itself it was just a massive cash grab by the developers. This sleezy thinking has grown to almost unimaginable proportions with not so much as basic communication to players or fixing bugs in the game or simple quality of life changes that have been begged for for years. I play other games that have daily updates from developers about what’s happening next week or next year and during holidays even the secondary holidays like mother’s day the developers send out presents that are greatly appreciated. But SWGOH a multi billion dollar game a top ten mobile game for years can’t even say “happy new year “to the player base. I can’t recommend anyone to start playing this game unless you have piles of extra cash laying around the F2P aspect of the game is all but dead. You’ve ruined a great game $$CG$$ I’ll never forgive you for that and hope you don’t do the same to your next one.

Fallen from grace
I never write reviews or anything like that but I’ve just gotta say this game has turned into a second full time job, and is nothing more than sticking it to the consumer. Your money bundles used to give you exactly what you described….now most things are a lottery instead of how just the crystals were a lottery. You over charge for everything but can’t give back when your game constantly crashes or freezes. Especially in the new updates, which have been crappy. As well as conquest acting ridiculous with some of this garbage. You do jussstt enough to make progress possible but basically push people into spending money. You’ve become a greedy robber baron that doesn’t even know their game anymore. It’s pathetic and just stealing peoples hard earned money is effed up. Nothing but dissapointed. Also don’t get me started on the garbage territory battle. Besides conquest one of the most unbalanced game types. Highest level relic 9 and they get one shotted on first planet. Conquest is an absolute money grab joke of a game type. Got all these tier 1 characters that can’t win because ea makes you lose. This game has become a joke. No wondering so many YouTubers have quit. If you aren’t invested in Star Wars don’t download. And if you don’t like being screwed over and stomped on. Deff don’t download. Such a waste I hope you see this and I’m sure you’ll laugh with all your money instead of have morals and see your tyranny. Scum…wait for it. Bags

Good game
Love the game but I had made a lot of progress made to to level 60 something unlocked my favourite character darth nihilus then lost everything which made me quit the game for awhile but I now have got it back praying I keep everything this time
Decent but pay to play
Swgoh is a decent game which is actually really fun once you start to experience the late game which require you to put over a year of daily gameplay into the game, which seems crazy for any game, once that is done it usually takes around 3 months to fully unlock a character but in other cases can take over 3+ years to earn a character specifically conquest characters, making it impossible for new players to catch up, except if they spend vast amounts of money every month, playing without paying is almost impossible if you want to really get into the game, everything and I mean every aspect of this game can be bypassed through money, making it the most pay to play gaming experience ever created,

Please update gameplay
When they created this collecting app do you think EA had any other intent than to scam players out of $ rather than adding to the gameplay and modes with the character array it has so much potential if there was a mode where you could use your characters and fight and go through levels in an open world of sorts with joystick control for movement ect. Such a disappointment on what could be. Can we ever expect better gameplay update or is always just going to be tap buttons turn based gameplay. Some may like no doubt but for me it’s boring as and repetitive. I simply love the Star Wars universe and vast array of characters and this is the only game available on phone that has so. Tho having GLs are just like having NFTs awesome to collect but nothing more than a digital collectible. What makes them even more sought after is they can’t be bought they require a year or so of tedious grinding. Only for gungans to be brought in and be able to beat my relic 9 Lord Vader.. no faction should be beating GLs other than other GLs let alone a unit of gungans. All that hard work for stuff all it’s rude as to the players

F2P/Light spenders, stay well away. This game does not respect players or their time.
As per title - support just fobs you off day after day and if you chase about your issue, they come back with EXACTLY the same message (every day) “we found instances where we haven’t got back to some players. If this is the case, please submit a new ticket”. Ghastly service. Developers absolutely do not listen to the community, and will do the exact opposite of what players ask for. Unless you plan on spending bucketloads of cash, you will factually never catch up or be able to become competitive. No pity timers whatsoever, so you can spend months farming something specific and get nowhere. No QA done before character releases, so almost everything releases in a broken state. “Skill based matchmaking” is by far the worst I have ever seen in 30 years of gaming. They literally can’t figure out how to match people based on skill, filtered by collection size, so for the biggest sources of in-game currency, you’ll be matched against whales with accounts 10x your size, and miss out on any possible progress, further compounding the stall to progress. If you plan on being a f2p player or spending little, but want to progress in this game, there are dozens of other games that will respect your time and deserve your money to support further development. This is a classic EA cash grab with a great (probably the best) IP.
