Pretty good.
On an iPad 3 there is noticeable slowdown once 2 portals are opened and attack begins. Path finding issues that after looking at pc reviews seems unlikely they will be fixed. The tower defense side of the game generally feels tacked on with only minimal development. Towers seem pointless as with a few iron doors, brick walls and a raised base you are unlikely to have any trouble. Very few enemy types and biomes. I really hope it is developed as I love the fact the dwarves are automated giving a more god like feel compared to terraria or junk jack and it is really the main selling point. The tech tree is irritating with countless resources wasted whilst have to create the same object over and over to progress. It DOES work, and it IS fun
Very fun side scrolling dwarf fortress like game. It does work on most devices, and the fix for the 6 and 6+ is already in, waiting to be approved by Apple.
If you enjoy DF, terreria, junk jack, or even if you didn't enjoy them, there's a good chance this game has many hours of enjoyment in store for you. Jump een it!Show lessApochus

Playing on iPhone 5 IOS 8 with no issues experienced. Played about 3-4 hours, I'd say it's very playable and enjoyable, screen size or responsiveness has not been an issue for me. Although the tutorial could do with some work as I'm still not sure what I'm doing. Ideally it needs iCloud saving so when at home I can play on my iPad as I'm sure it would be a better experience, but since my phone is always with me games with no iCloud go on the phone. My four rating is due to no iCloud and Gamecentre, otherwise enjoying the game very much since building and tower defence work very well together IMHO.Show lessc4r105
Fantastic game
Yes it doesn't work on my 6+ but the devs have already submitted a change to apple which will rectify this.
On my IPad 4 however it plays like a dream....gameplay is great (6 hours in and counting)...no frame drops...interesting mechanics (think a more simplified dwarf fortress with a hint of tower defence).
As someone who buys hundreds of apps a year I can say that this will remain on my hardware for some time!Show lessDefard
