Significant changes: Dramatically reduced memory usage, drastically reducing related crashes on low end devices or in long fights. Added iCloud support Added additional stat tracking (view achievements you've already completed to see additional information) A number of changes to priests and other more defensive classes to give them additional offensive diversity. A slew of bug fixes and small balance changes. Small Changes: Jeremiad now permits resurrection but no longer respects poison, penance, and burning (they count as damage on the target rather than dealt by you) Polymorph can now transform bosses Penance no longer scales, instead dealing 2 damage each turn. The cost of the Deck of Wonder has been increased to 65 Elemental Fortitude now provides resistance instead of immunity Three new cards have been added, most likely appearing for defensive classes - Force of Will, Pure Thoughts, and Eye for an Eye The level up ability Piety has been renamed to Cleanse to reduce ambiguity with the card Piety Kinetic Charge and Curse of Weakness now additionally draw a card Defensive classes on the second floor now have overall stronger choices of cards for their level ups On iPad, the choices for prayers are significantly larger

(Missing 1.03 note) - new Ranger names - Matthew and Jack. New Features: You may now select "Random" as a class Confirmation dialogue for upgrading only one card on level up Technical Fixes: IPhone interface update. Important text is now much, much larger and most buttons should be easier to hit. Several other related quality of life changes IPhone 5S now appropriately uses the iPhone interface rather than the iPad interface. Reduced memory usage, particularly in complex fights Increased the visibility of the Surrender button in fights (the skull in the upper left) Balance Changes: The professor, bard, and dragon no longer earn achievements and their unlock point cost has been raised to 10,000 points each. Characters now start with 2 attack2's instead of 2 attack1's. The passives that used to provide that now provide 3 gold instead. Passives that previously provided 5 gold, now provide 3. This is a net no change to fully powered characters, but should make the early game a little smoother. Fixed a bug where multiple Reenact cards could trigger on the same card. Small balance changes (generally making them easier or more deterministic) to the following monsters: Banshee, Wraith, Hand of Glory, Sphinx, Ussuri Ambusher, Mime, Priest Shock now costs 4 mana Storm Shape now reduces damage taken by half as long as the mana shield holds

Price History of Dream Quest

Description of Dream Quest

Play cards! Kill monsters! Level Up! Dream Quest is a roguelike deckbuilding game inspired by the likes of Ascension, Magic: the Gathering, and Shandalar. Explore randomly generated levels as one of 13 classes in short, 30 minute, sessions. One floor might find your wizard in the crypt, another your warrior underwater, and a third, your assassin stalking a volcanic wasteland. As you progress, your characters earn achievements, each making your future runs a little easier or more interesting. Combat is a card game. Your abilities are a deck of cards that you develop as you gain power. For example, a thief starts with a handful of Slice cards and a Backstab, but can learn defensive moves like Dodge or powerful finishing moves like Coup de Grace. Carefully choosing which cards to add to your deck is the heart of the game: wise choices will find you slicing through monsters while poor ones will leave you tripping over your own two feet. Features: •14 different classes, with wildly different play styles •Over 300 cards, ranging from the defensive Kick and Armor to the devastating Meteor and Curse of Doom •More than 70 monsters carefully catalogued in the Bestiary as you encounter them •Infinite replayability – easily 50 hours to see the majority of the content •No In App Purchases – the price of the game is the price of the game. Everything is unlocked only by playing. Reviews of Version 1.0 have been fantastic! Examples include: "Don't be fooled by its simplistic stick-figure art – Dream Quest brings together roguelike dungeon-crawling and deckbuilding to create a truly unique challenge" -IGN "This game is really one of a kind. The mix between rogue-like and cards is really well done...Kudos to the dev for such an innovative and challenging game" -Mike32, TouchArcade "If you can get past the simplistic graphics, you're looking at a very interesting, strategic game. I've already lost a few hours to it - the kind of hours where you wonder where the time went. Outstanding game!" -Citronaut

  • Brilliant Game

No update in 7 years, runs like a charm. Still one of the best games available on iOS. No gambling influenced in-game economy with in-app purchases; just addictive and creative gameplay. Part card game, board game, dungeon crawl rpg, and puzzle game all in one. Unique and satisfying. (Yes, there is an in-game economy but you cannot spend real money.)

  • Best ios game I got and I have a lot of games!

Been playing games since Atari and was a magic the gathering nerd. I buy more games than have time to play. This is my favorite game period and then slay the spire soon after. Probably have over 1k hours of play on this as well as on Steam. More you play and learn what cards work rite and unlock them it opens the game up. This game is all strategy with a little luck in deck building. You have to have a good brain to get good at this one. The boss and elite fights can be hectic. But as long as you figure out and know what cards work best you can eventually succeed!

  • Please make a dream quest 2!

My most played game, and I’ve had this game for years and still play it daily. So much fun and challenging.
