Disappointed…
I love everything National Geographic, every since I was a kid I loved watching shark shows and snake shows. And I recently got a new tv, a Samsung tv, and I swear I tried for hours with the rest of my family to get the Nat Geo app to connect with the tv! But Samsung tv isn't necessarily a “tv provider” but I am subscribed to Disney and max and all of that stuff, and there is no way to stream from the app onto the tv! And now I just found out that they are getting rid of the app! So now I will have practically no way to watch the shows I love, very disappointing. Me and my family are dreading September 23rd.Show lessDeveloper Response

I’ve streamed National Geographic channel for years through my cable network. Lately I have to delete the app and re add the silly thing. For some reason it won’t acknowledge my cable provider unless I start from the beginning. I do understand that I could make my own account within the app but I’m tired of app providers selling my info. ( yet another way to make money off of me) This will no longer be a problem for me because I’m unable to watch the shows I used to stream. I work when my normal shows air on my cable network. Unless I purchase the additional streaming service ( even though I already pay for National Geographic through my cable network) I’m unable to watch the shows I would like to watch. Basically I would be paying for advertising for one channel to two separate providers. I’m done with National Geographic and also will not renew my subscription to the magazine. It was nice knowing you when you were more interested in imparting knowledge instead of making a buck. Edit. For some reason now I’m unable to access any shows through your app. I used to have to delete the app and reinstall the app to be able to view shows. For the last few weeks I’ve repeatedly been shown that you’re experiencing “technical problems” . No matter what I try, I don’t seem to have this app’s secret pass word. I wish the app was even half as good as the shows. I now call this Firetrucking National Geographic.Show lessDeveloper Response

I downloaded the tv app to watch this the Lawless Ocean series because I heard a second season was dropping soon. Well, coming to find out Nat Geo sold the rights to Apple TV to air Net Geo content; which in return Apple has the audacity (to charge you $3 for each episode and $15 for the season for content that should 100% be free w/ paid subscription). Talk about unfriendly business practices to cypher ever penny from loyal paying customers. I’m starting not to see a reason for Apple TV. You would think with plans for a new season of Lawless Ocean to drop Nat Geo would want easy access to their best content, but nope.Show less
