  • Works Great

Great to have Apple watch app and complication. Great to have an app you can just pay for without a subscription. Great to be able to use Pomodoro method.
  • Responsive Developer

The Apple Watch version is simple to use and meets my needs quite well. I just had a question and the developer responded very quickly to my email. And there are no ads. Highly recommended!
  • Far from perfect!!!

I was using a focus up and was quite happy with it. However, it was not available on my Apple Watch. And a desktop application also was missing. So, I purchased this app and also the Mac OS app.

Multiple issues that are infuriating me are
    - no handoff between phone, Apple Watch and Mac app
    - no record or data of cycles done in the past or even in the current day
    - Apple Watch keeps notifying me with alerts that are not in sync with my IPhone.

Developers of this app, please fix these issues ASAP!
I need data points and syncing of cycles.

    Developer Response

Pommie supports Handoff between iOS and Mac devices. However, in my testing the Mac doesn't always seem to show Handoff as being available *from* iOS (but the other way round always seems to work). I couldn't get Handoff from Watch to phone to work, so that's not supported (nor is it claimed to be). I have made a note to investigate again and see if I can fix that. However, it is important to understand that Handoff is not the same as sync. Handoff is a transfer of state, not a synchronisation of state. Transferring the timer state will stop it running on the initiating device (if it was running) and the receiving device gets a copy of its state (including work/break lengths and timer profile configurations). Actual sync is incredibly hard to do reliably. Transfers of information between devices is not real time and may not even happen at all. For a real-time app involving timers and notifications, any inconsistency in state would be very confusing (as you are experiencing because you think the app has a single timer spread across devices). Notifications will fire on multiple devices when they each have timers running. What if the Watch is out of range of the phone when you try and stop the timer? The phone's timer will continue running. It might be possible to have a backend server in the cloud coordinating this (but that adds enormous complexity and relies on an internet connection). There is at least one Pomodoro app which does this. But it has monthly subscriptions costing more than the one-off price of Pommie. To avoid unpredictable behaviour, Pommie simply does not support sync between devices at all. The Watch app (as the App Store description states) has an "independent timer". Finally, Pommie is a Pomodoro *timer*. It does not (and does not claim to) record counts of cycles or show historical graphs etc. It sounds like Pommie is not suitable for your needs. Developers cannot issue refunds; you have to contact Apple. See, for example, https://www.imore.com/how-to-get-refund-itunes-app-store
  • Apple Watch function is so convenient.

Great simple app, love the ability to use it with fewer distractions because it’s on my watch!!
  • Simple and Functional

The developer even fixed problems on iOS 13 beta.
  • Great pomodoro app

The new apple watch update is great!
  • Best pomodoro app for Apple Watch

The developer added a watch complication to the app. This is now the best pomodoro app for Apple Watch users.

I’ve tried the free apps, the paid apps, the ones that charge subscriptions, and all were lacking in one way or another. This app works without issue and the UI was designed with taste and simplicity in mind.

The watch complication looks like it was designed by Apple. It works perfectly.

  • Nice Simple App

The app is nice and simple to use. I really enjoy being able to use this on both iOS and macOS. The only addition I would like to see is a way to track the number of pomo session completed.
  • Delightfully simple!

A lot of productivity apps try to do too much — Pommie has the features you want, lacks the ones you don’t, and stays out of your way to get work done.
  • ¡NO REVIEW REQUESTS!

This app is as good as all the other Pomodoro apps. I like the colors and sounds more than others. I wish I could give the review 10 stars because the app does NOT ever request reviews. Finally, a smart and considerate developer. BTW, we are not related and don't know each other.
