ads don’t load anymore, used to be amazing
I didn’t purchase the pro version, but every time the app asks me to watch an ad, the ad doesn’t load at all. My phone switches off because it takes so long. As a result, I have to delete and reinstall the app, which I can’t do at times when the internet is bad. This issue is really bothering me.

I have been using this app for a very long time now and never really had issues, but just today when I tried to use it, I can’t even do anything as the app would crash within a second every time I try to open it. I attempted to open it multiple times to eventually get it to work and it’s no use. I checked to see if I still needed to update it but I am already on the latest version. Please provide a fix for this as I am also subscribed to the pro version and I would like to still be able to use this.Show lessAakify

Update: issues #3-4 looks to be fixed with the latest update, which was turned around very quickly! Issues 1-2 still occurring.
Not sure what’s happened the past ~6 months. The app used to be pretty much perfect but is now buggy. Main issues are 1. Videos will randomly start at the middle (usually just on the first loop) 2. Some videos in playlists will just randomly play in the middle. Unlike issue #1, the issue isn’t just on the first loop 3. The app seems to forget you’ve subscribed to the pro version if you leave the app while on the “playlist” tab. 4. Video folders seem buggy. I select a video and there’s a 50/50 chance the video I selected is actually what plays. It’s also annoying that it kicks you out of the folder when you select a video.Show lessZachxD2

The developers have now hidden the Picture in Picture feature - which used to be available by default - behind watching adverts for each and every video. Super annoying and not worth the hassle.YoungOnline

I get it, app developers need to make money but when it makes the app unusable, it's worthless.
After the recent app updates, i now have to watch a video on top of the ads that are displayed in the app... ok no problem there, i watched a 2 minute video before i could use the app!
this is just greedy, a 15 second or even a 20 second video is fine but 2 minutes?
not only that, the video has a countdown showing you when you can press the "X" to close the video ad, then it goes to another screen with another "X" countdown of a few seconds to wait again... it's really frustrating.
To make matters worst, the price to purchase and get rid of video ads is too much, app developers need to know their app worth.
When are developers going to understand that most people aren't even watching the ad and just waiting for the "X" to be available to close the video?

Hi there, Thanks for your review, ADs help Looper have a free version and continuous updates for Free users. We cannot handle the duration or format the AD is displayed, as this is managed by our AD providers. Also please consider updating your star rating, as it should rely in more than just ADs :) . Hey Charlie, unfortunately the screen recording stops when I turn off my phone, so I’m not able to show you. I was a pro subscriber, but I had to get my money due to the incident. Turns out, it’s happening to pro, and non-pro users. If there’s anyway I can repay the same subscription using another card please let me know. I’m using an IPhone 8. After I press play on a video, I’ll turn the phone off, and then the video would automatically pause, then I would unpause it and the video would resume playing. Unfortunately, after this new update for the app, I would turn off my phone while a video is playing, and it would automatically stop playing. Videos will start playing only when the phone is on. Loved the app, but I can’t stand it now
It’s a shame, because I used to use this app almost every single day to listen to music. But over the last couple years the developer has systematically taken features that used to be free away and locking them behind a paywall. It’s a trend that many companies have followed, and unfortunately, the same goes for Looper.
One by one, it all began to fall apart. First, the paid version became a subscription, instead of just a one-time payment! And to make it worse, ads were brought to the app as well.
I could tolerate ALL that, but the straw that broke the camel’s back for me is that the app no longer lets you listen to music using Picture in Picture. It was featured as a ✨new feature✨ added to the subscription version, but in reality it’s just another old feature that was taken away from existing users.
This feature was practically the only reason I ever used this app, so now I have no choice but to find something else. I’ll miss you dearly, Looper, but I really can’t stand what you’ve become ;(Show lessarcycatten

Hi there, Thanks for writing a review. Watching videos in Picture In Picture is totally a free feature, as also is to listen audio while in PIP Mode. If you are unable to watch videos in PIP Mode, please send us a mail to apps@iokanan.com so we can fix this ASAP!Forcing people to watch ads that don’t load is a bad move.
I know that you guys have a premium subscription but I am not interested at all, and I didn’t mind the occasional pop up advertisement because it largely didn’t interrupt my experience, but now with this recent change I am unhappy with the service provided. I ask for the change to be undone.an honest brit with the fit

Hey there! Thanks a lot for your review, the info provided is very helpful! We will work on some tests with trimmed videos from camera roll and send a bug fix update. Meanwhile, you can import your video into Looper and trim it inside Looper, this allows you to have your video as original and trimmed at the same time!
