  • Phenomenally Flawed

This game is inches from perfection. An excellent developer makes another excellent game. The character design, animation, voice acting, music, sound effects etc are all amazing. I love this game. The problems for me are the battle system and how new moves are added.

The battle system is a blend of real-time combat and tactical combat. Real-time is straight forward but animations leave you vulnerable. When you go with the tactical, you route the path you walk and your move selection. The problem is your choices aren’t guaranteed to work. I don’t need to be playing an all powerful character, I ask that the system make sense.

When you level up, you may be prompted to choose between to moves for your arsenal. You get to read a description that may not explain how you’ve improved. Also, those choices will modify something you already have but I haven’t seen the difference.

The mysterious story will keep me playing. Hopefully, the battle system starts to make sense.
  • Oldie but a Goldie

Similar narration style to Bastion, with incredible music consistently around every single corner

The story itself is rather short; but with 1k+ possible combinations, and such a beautiful world, it’s got quite the replay-ability.

I would recommend this to anyone who’s craving a good rpg/and or story game, or is just sick of looking through garbage for good games

With a space to practice as long as you want, and re-hear every song as many times as you want, the devs clearly know what the player wants

Almost gave this 4 stars due to my save data corrupting mid way through my first playthrough (forcing me to restart); but all in all that doesn’t detract nearly enough from this game to take away that star imo

5/5. Buy it for your grandma
  • Gorgeous game

I played this on my switch AND my phone. I prefer the switch version, but the story and graphics are truly wonderful. Mix those together with the awesome music and you’ll get an awesome game.

The story was a little confusing at times, but near the end everything became clear. It’s an awesome game, and I’m surprised it doesn’t cost more. It is a little short, but that’s exactly something I’ve been looking for. Definitely worth multiple play throughs, its challenging at times, but never too hard, and it gives you the option to make it harder or easier.

    Overall, great game. 9.5/10
