Worst app on App Store
I don't know how a professional company can let something like this stand. Aren't they embarrassed? Something as simple as selecting HD for the camera view isn't saved, each time you go into the app you have to select HD again. And the main images on the monitor attached to the NVR are horrible as you can't actually select the resolution of the NVR output, you would have to have a monitor that matched the NVR maybe? Can't tell. Technically it works, but all the apps and documentation are many years old. Why is this being sold as new if it's so old?

Better experience but less compatibility
I’ve ben a long time user of Amcrest cameras (over 8 years). This app is designed for the iPad, but Amcrest is not keeping it working with all the cameras. I just upgraded a few of my cameras and they don’t work with P2P in this app. They do work in the other, non-iPad app. That app is really a crummy experience on an iPad. So Amcrest support told me to “just keep using the non-iPad app.”
One other point is that there is no way to reset to a single camera view in playback.

Not so good on the iPad
The iPad version does not support live view well. After running for a few minutes, the image is jumpy. Looking at the time stamp, you see the time jumping back and forth.
Can’t set up new cameras on P2P
I have set up new Amcrest Cameras for years. Suddenly with a recent update I can no longer set up new cameras on my iPadusing P2P. It errors out “Failed to Connect”.
I can connect those same cameras to the iPhone app with no issues using P2P. Obviously, an issue with the iPad app.

Playback save no good
Cannot save videos to the iPad because of some format error. Cannot screen record playback because it doesn't record the sound. This is unreal. I have a lot of money invested into Amcrest for them to give up app development.
App isn’t reliable
The app sits and spins about 70% of the time, it is NOT my internet since every other app doesn’t have this issue. And yes I’ve deleted it and redo loaded. It makes a great camera not so great when you can’t access it.
H265 dav
Amcrest has a h265 .dav video file converter for windows, it would be helpful if there were an app for iPad Pro that would do the same. I am not able to do anything with the .dav file except to view it within the Amcrest pro app. iOS will not even recognize the file. You cannot even convert it so that it can be shared. Update; I discovered the iPhone app records video in mpg4 which is recognized on an iPad. To record and view video you need to use the iPhone app on the pad…..which makes no sense. You should be able to choose between the two formats or it should just default to mpg4.

Just use the web version
Can’t even go back and look at another days footage.
Need to update your app
The Amcrest developer need to update this software because it’s getting crashed more and more and support new hardware of the ipad to make it run better. Hope to get it update soon before I buy the cameras from other companies
Video pro for ipad and iPhone
Terrible experience with this software. I hope an update is forthcoming. Spent far too many hours trying to get the software to record consistently even after many times talking with support.
Support has been good; software bad.
