iOS network compatibility issues - does not work
Hardware works great. App is terrible, less than basic without essential information. For example: what time does my timer currently have? No clue. Resetting app and device to factory settings does not prompt for wifi configuration, so the device broadcasts its on WiFi which remains open and unsecured. But you can connect to it and turn it on/off. Zero options, configuration settings, methods, or buttons to setup the WiFi on the device. Returning device and deleting app.Show lessItryandknowthings
Awesome pool timer
I replaced a broken mechanical timer with this. Setup on iOS was a breeze. Programming was simple, but the interface is kinda ugly. Functional though. I have it set to start the pool pump in the morning and off at night. I use the manual option to stop or start the pump as needed. This is a huge upgrade from walking to the pump house and turning dials or pressing buttons. Now during thunderstorms or pool maintenance I can quickly shut off the pump from my pocket.Show lessPonyUK
Wifi Pool Pump Switch IOS
Very happy with customer service and the switch itself. Initially was unable to connect but once I changed location to “always” everything connected perfectly. Once connected I changed location back to “while using”. This is light years ahead of the old mechanical type switch I replaced and it’s impossible to beat the convenience of controlling it with your phone from anywhere.Show lessRN-SICU
Needs to be on the same network
This product stopped working with IOS post the 16.0 release. After months of waiting they “fixed” the issue, only now it only works if your phone is on the same network as the timer.ios 16 compatibility
Non compatible with apple IOS 16+
The timer is not compatible with Apple IOS 16+ so mine just turns itself on whenever it feels like it. I hope it didn’t burn my pump up running it dry. I’ve contacted the manufacturer of the switch and they said unfortunately ECO plug is the only app I can use for that timer so now I guess I’ll have to go buy another timer that don’t use ECO plug. Great Product
I have been using Eco plugs for my pool timer for over two years now. The user interface isn’t great and there is clearly some language/grammatical issues with English in the manual, but otherwise it has worked flawlessly. I’m not a techie by trade, but I do understand wifi, etc. and I think that was helpful to me in setting it up. Once it was set up I have never touched it again. Even when the power goes out, it just seems to reconnect and just works. I installed the timer myself btw, replacing an old ‘dial’ one. It is 100% outside and exposed to the weather, and I live in a climate that has all 4 seasons. Again, the manual wasn’t easy to read but it all came together nicely.Show lesswhywasthisbanned
Worked great till iOS 16
Love the product and the simple nature of how to use them. Up until recently when iOS 16 came into play and I can’t connect to any of the plugs or devices on my network, can’t set up anything. It wasn’t still we used a device that hasn’t been upgraded to 16 that actually works…

Warning: Will not work with iOS 16
I cannot set up my pool pump timer on my iPhone because eco plugs app hasn’t been updated to work with the new iOS 16. I had to set it up with my friend’s phone which is the same iPhone as mine but he didn’t update to the new iOS yet. I sent an email a month ago. This is their response:
We have received some feedbacks and info via some media articles that some iphone models may have bugs on WiFi related feature which is not on iOS 16 update list.
We are investigating this issue and also waiting and see whether the Apple will release tools and patch these days.
Before the further progress on this issue, if you have other iPhone have not update to iOS16, we suggest you run initial setting and set timer for the device via that phone. Again, once we have improvement here, we will mail and let you know. Sorry for the inconvenience.Show lessStarD3
Not compatible with iOS 16 or greater
I upgraded to iOS 16 and the app stopped working and I lost the schedule and the on/off icon
Tried uninstalling and reinstalling, but the app won’t find my router anymore. I tried the timer reset and that didn’t help. My phone picks up the timer, but that’s it. Wi-Fi light still flashed blue.
Customer services response was to use a phone that has iOS 15 or older and see what happens.
Unfortunately, we all have iOS 16.2

Works great and fast support
I have the outdoor Wi-Fi box to remotely turn my pool light on. It works great and was easy for a tech-stupid person to get set up. When I got a new router and couldn’t figure out how to reset the box, they replied to my email within 24hrs and included video so even I could do it.
