So, i enjoyed the game but it was kind of the same old, same old kinda deal. You know the type, nobility falls for the low life commoner, daddy’s mad and forbids the union, girl dies and daddy has low life commoner killed. The whole Romeo and Juliet tragedy…yawn! Oh, and by the way, I deducted a star for killing the dog you cads!
I had no issues with any bugs or glitches. The music was soothing and enjoyable and the hops were decent although at the end of the bonus game trying to defeat the dark half of Lord Flatbury it was impossible to see the ruin symbols through the moonstone because your finger has to be in the middle of the stone. I ended up skipping it which I hate doing.
Last, the demon dog with the black knight just disappears. He’s evident until you chase him from the locked room, then poof, he’s gone. I would have liked to have seen him released at the end as well. All in all not bad just predictable.
I love this game! It’s definitely different from the other hidden object/adventure games I’ve played before. The videos playing in between game play are great. I love a good tragic love story. Some puzzles are easy and some a little rough but all in all it’s a really good game. I have no complaints about any tech issues. Game has been running smoothly from the start. I hope I could find more games like this one. Definitely my favorite
I really enjoyed this one! It had a good storyline, graphics & voice overs. A nice variety of HOP & mini-games, puzzle pieces & morphing objects to find throughout the game. Marked map with easy travel available & strategy guide, although I didn’t need it much at all. I had no technical issues on my iPad Pro & my only complaint although it’s not a big deal, there wasn’t much check to the bonus chapter, but the main game was pretty long on its own. I give this one 4 1/2⭐️!
Played it a 2nd time years later and thoroughly enjoyed it again! If you haven’t played this oldie it’s a definite goodie!
First of all thank you BF for the price drops! Not sure if anyone else has noticed the 2.99& 3.99 very low prices you've been offering but I surely have! This game is one of the best in a while. Someone mentioned it was short but I play every game you release and it's much longer than most. Especially given the prices lately. Gamers, do not miss this one! It's a fun and well put together game. Has everything we gamers look for. Thanks BF!
I really enjoy the game! Cool puzzles, nice storyline. I especially like that the inspector in the beginning looks exactly like John Nettles from the British series, Midsomer Murders.
Unfortunately, pretty much every time I play, l unlock the drawer in the little cabinet in the dining room, take the puzzle piece, try to pick up the book and the window closes! I can’t open it back up to get the book. I have to exit the game, delete my profile, create a new one and start the game over!
PU-LEASE fix this!!! BF spends all its resources churning out new games, they’re not fixing the ones they already have out!! When I contact tech support, they don’t even TRY to fix the problem, they just give you credit to buy another game which probably has glitches of its own.
I have had this game stored in my game catalog but never played. Recently the games being offered have not been up to par, so I was looking thru my game files and found Cursed Castles. It is one of the better games out there. The puzzles are a delightful challenge and the story line is captivating. So happy I found this game and will play again. Key West Jessa.
I also had the same problem with putting my name in at the beginning. I typed the first letter, but when I went to put the second letter in, it just typed the same letter in again- then it froze and kicked me out. Someone said they had to play anonymously and I ended up doing the same. I'm only in the trial, but I probably won't purchase because I also found that the response time after I tapped an object was off making me tap a few more times which was rather annoying. Great graphics and story line, though.
It would have been a 5 star game, except: no Bonus game, and couldn't adjust the Hint and Skip buttons. The Hint button teleports to the next location. The interactive map does not point to the next location. The map only shows active areas.
I will probably purchase the next game in this series.
This was a fairly enjoyable game, however, it was a bit buggy. I would finish a puzzle and still have to press the skip button to get anywhere. Also, the HOS could have been crisper. Otherwise, the game was a long one and fun to play. I played again much later and have found it to be fine, no more bugs.
Ok I play a ton of puzzle and HO games and this one did not bore me. The HO parts offered different and highly interactive play instead of just hunt up the object and click it. Loved the different items within the game, such as the painting pieces and morphing items you could actually see right off. It definitely added layers within layers for hours of gaming fun!! Looking forward to the next one!!
