  • App is becoming incrementally better

The IOX app is improving. I agree with previous commentors who have called for Health Kit integration. This would induce me to change the rating from good to excellent!
  • Works self contained

Works well for me. Saves data to a calendar in its app, which Is a must have. Only downer: the app won't connect with Health Kit (yet, anyway).
  • Heart broken

Bought this on Amazon. Didn't work right out of the box. "Not enough power" was the message. I hope you send me a replacement asap. Didn't have any good reviews. Sadly.
  • Needs an external device but says that nowhere

I don't know if it works or not. I even re-read it to see if I was mistaken. No external device mentioned. I guess you could realize that reading between the lines. But honestly who does that for Apple apps?
  • No longer works

Power too low error message now shows up since the bug fix release.
  • Best background iOximeter, no Healthkit integration (yet)

This app is the improved version of "iOximeter" from the same company. This app connects to the company's iOximeter through the audio jack.

    Pros

    1. Records continuously in the background (even when the phone was locked with the screen off - very important while sleeping; other oximeters only record when the app is running in the foreground). This is the most important feature.

    2. Data is easy to export to your favorite spreadsheet, but the in app history should be sufficient to notice trends.

    3. Easy to use: turned on the app, prompted to plug in the device, asked to use microphone, placed on finger, and violá, data.

    Cons / Bugs

    1. No Apple Healthkit integration (adding this feature alone would get this app a 5-star rating).

    2. No option to export to other apps (have to email to myself the CSV file).

    3. No way to change the scale of the chart in the app

    4. No option to change the frequency of the measurements (e.g. 5/10/15 minute intervals)

    5. No 'Swipe left' to delete or option to remove old data (e.g. keep for 60 days).

  • No HealthKit, and now push messages?

App works fine but it doesn't save data to HealthKit, where your medical data should be stored. Also, this app is now wanting to send push notifications to me. Why does an oximeter need to notify me?
  • Great App! 5 Stars!

This app is the King when it comes to pulse oximeters that can be used with an iPhone! You can record continuous overnight while you sleep or spot check. All kind of graphs, screens and even an alarm to set thresholds. Too much for me to write about here! Try it, you will love it! Oh, and by the way, you will need the iOximeter available at Amazon to go with this app. Thanks and peace!
